We all saw how much care they put into Batman Begins.

quality???scifiwolf said:Meh. I like this news, especially given the track records of Superman games. At least EA understands the importance of pushing a quality product with this game. I just hope I can swing me a PS3 this fall.
Masut said:Quality and EA don't go together. But who knows, maybe a pig will fly.
Mentok said:Well, it depends on the developer working for E.A.
99% are utter crap but they do own a few good developers... UBISOFT is one that comes to mind. If their earlier work on the Prince of Persia titles or Splinter Cell series is not proof enough go over to the games board and look at the video in the 'Assassins Creed' thread... Next Gen gaming how it should really be![]()
From GameSpot:
Superman Returns was originally set to arrive on shelves for a number of systems alongside the movie's release this June. In the call, EA executive VP and general manager of North American publishing Frank Gibeau explained why the Man of Steel won't make that date.
"The ambitious nature of the open-world design proved to be fairly challenging, with regard to hitting the launch window for the film," Gibeau told investors. "And we wanted to look at a long-term opportunity here with Superman, so as a result we moved the product release to the fall to coincide with the DVD at holiday. Actually, from a publishing standpoint, the DVD release at holiday is a nice combination. There are more vehicles for us to market and promote the game, and we're going to get a better game this fall than we would have with the movie release."

No. That's not true. That's impossible!!!!!!

Well, look at it this way, with another half year they might actually make a half decent game.... Or maybe not![]()
Showtime029 said:You gotta be kidding me? What's next, the movie is postponed to get rid of the piano wielding kid and CGI tune ups?
lazur said:As someone who works in the game industry making PC/videdo games, I never quite understood reactions like yours. On the one hand, gamers demand games NOW, but on the other they b*tch and whine when the game is 'unfinished'.
You should be GLAD that they aren't releasing a half-assed, sloppy, hurried game. It'll be all that much more polished and fun to play when it finally IS released.
Masut said:I know that a delay is often good news. It means they want the game as good as it can get by the time we play it. But people are complaining not just because of the delay, but because with EA, this might not mean more quality.

I guess I'll be sympathetic and say I'm sorry to those guys who were anticipating the game so much, but to me, I could care less. I'm the biggest Batman fan ever, but I have yet to even see the Batman Begins game.......
lazur said:I don't work for EA - in fact, they're somewhat of a competitor for us. But I do think they have a good track record of making great games. Of course, you can't please everyone, much less annoying, rapid fan boys who aren't willing to compromise on anything.
