Supernatural-Season 6 - Part 2

Isn't his vessel gone ? I remember when Castiel got put back into that guy , it was supposed to be permanent and that guy no longer exists.

I'm not sure. I think you may be right. I remember when Cas went into him this last time something happened to the vessel, but I couldn't rememeber if he was still in there or if it was only Cas.

That's true. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I had a professor once that seared that quote into my brain.

Found the ending on youtube for anyone that wants to see it again.

It happened during season 4. Cas got forced back to Heaven because he kept helping Sam and Dean. Cas was gonna use his old vessel's daughter as his new vessel , but his old vessel said no. Then he accepted Cas even though Cas would no longer be able to leave him.

Yeah, I remember that now. Anyone else think Cas should get a wardrobe change this season? Maybe once he is truly corrupt he should be dressed to suit the darkness in him. Lucifer's name means "the shinning one" so the white suit fit him, but what can they do for Cas? Maybe all black? I'm so used to seeing Cas in his trenchcoat I can't imagine him any other way.

I'm not that smart of a fan, and I resist to read spoilers or try to get too far ahead of the story. For me, this season has been all over the place. I thought the entire season quest would be for Sam's soul. He got it back by mid-season.

Then I thought it would be to take down Eve. That was wrapped as if she was a low-level demon. Then we got the Lovecraft/Cthulu red herring thrown in at the last minute. Nothing panned out.

The more I think about it, the more I believe the show should have wrapped up last season: Sam makes the ultimate sacrifice and Dean retires to end the Winchester gospel. Vampires, monsters, and everything else goes back to the status quo, just without the Winchesters.

This season was like a mystery novel. Clues were dropped all season, and seemingly separate storylines were playing out.

But with Cas' episode where he confesses to God, we see that it was all linked together. Initially Cas brought Sam back for different reasons (accidentally souless), but everything was about Cas and Crowely finding a way into Purgatory to stop Raphael.

A very good ending and kind of expected (apart from what happened to Castiel), though not as epic as the Season 5 ending of course. Cass clearly got corrupted of all that power (either that or he planned this from the very beginning). But I love the way Misha acted when he became the new "God", totally different which was amazing! Next Season is going to be damn interesting!

I wasn't on board for another season. Now I gotta say I am down for another season. I would love to see Cass V.S. the Winchesters.

Boy, oh boy is god a stubborn mofo. He won't even stop someone taking over his position of power. I kept waiting for god to appear & be like "whoa, what with this new god crap? I am god beaches!"

But nope.

Yeah this whole new god thing might last all of 2 minutes. Next season opens up with them all still in the room and Castiel startings laying out new commandments when Morgon Freeman calmly walks in the room and puts a hand on Castiels shoulder then says ''Son, we need to talk'' and they both disappear.

Does anyone think we will see the amulet again you know the one that "burns hot in God's presence"? :cwink:

If this arc lasts then I can see Sam pulling it out and saying that he grabbed it from the trash can and wants to use it now to see if it glows near Castiel (hopefully it doesn't). Then Dean goes back to wearing it and it ends up glowing some point later on.

why did Castiel kill Balthivar???? That was kinda cruel wasn't it?

Was it because the actor was leaving the show, or was that part of the story

Because he was the ''Judas" since he was helping the Winchesters I think.

Where is your avatar from?

I'm not sure if that was supposed to be true in the first place. But regardless, I do hope that the real God makes an appearence in Season 7. Someone really needs to slap Castiel.

Well, Castiel killed Rachel also, even though she didn't deserve it. And the reason he killed Balthazar is because he betrayed Castiel, wasn't that more than obvious???

It's already been picked up, yes.

you know what i think might happen? i think that once the eclipse ends castiel might go chernobyl, just as balthizar predicted.

Re-watched the season finale...SO excited for season seven. This seems like a great way to end the angels storyline too(by having the only good angel turning full-on villain).

I hope we get the Real God too. Finally showing up, taking care of business and put Dean back in his place(seriously, he complains too much).

I wonder if Sam & Dean with eventually ascend to being the new God & Devil?

I think they'll at least go down as the two most bad ass people in the galaxy.

I get the sense that Dean's stunbborness is being looked down upon. I personally think it is great! I know for a fact he will resist kneeling before Cass. I love that about him. He would rather die fighting. Than punk out.

I see this happening but they would use it in a search for old God. If it detects new Cas then great, the boys have a way of evading him. I also see them dancing around the crazy idea of releasing Lucifer & Michael to deal with new Cas. But they would fail because God ultimately deals the fatal blow.

Some info on season 7:

After taking a dark and twisty turn during its noir-esque sixth season, Supernatural will tip its 10-gallon hat to another film genre in Season 7.

“We had everyone on the writing staff watch Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” executive producer Sera Gamble tells TVLine. “[Executive producer] Bob [Singer], [series creator] Eric [Kripke] and I were really hungry to capture some of that cowboy, outlaw spirit for Sam and Dean [next season].”

But who are the Winchesters running from? A recent press release from The CW reveals that Sam and Dean “will find themselves…up against a new foe unlike anything they’ve ever fought.” After what happened to Castiel in the May 20 season finale, we had to ask Gamble if the newly minted God is the Winchesters’ new foe. (Of course, the decision to take his portrayer, Misha Collins, off contract suggests Gamble may have other plans.)

“I would consider Cas, in the last few minutes of the finale, to have been transformed,” is all Gamble would say. The boss lady was more reassuring about Cas’ chances for redemption. “We try to be realistic about the fact that people on this show do cross lines that can’t be uncrossed,” she says. “But we examine those things in terms of Sam and Dean. They have a tremendous capacity to move forward. We always look for the chance to have redemption.”

Season 6 was "noir-esque"? I didnt really get that.

But the outlaw cowboy thing sounds good. That's what the first season mostly felt like. 2 strangers roll into town, save everybody, and as quickly as they came they leave

Me either. "The Man Who Would Be King" felt noiresque, but that is the only one I got that vibe from.

I don't like the Butch & Sundance comment. We all know how that ends.
