Supernatural-Season 6

Hmm....
Question: Can you tell me anything about Supernatural‘s new season? —Bryan
Ausiello: I can’t be certain, but I think I just uncovered a significant clue about the overriding plot of season 6: Sources confirm to me exclusively that X-Files vet Mitch Pileggi is in talks to reprise his role as Sam and Dean’s presumed-dead grandpa on a potentially recurring basis.

I'm confused what does that mean. What does that mean?

Their grandfather may appear again.

But how could that be important to the plot? Is there something special about their grandfather?

He was also a hunter who was possessed by the Yellow Eyed Demon and killed.

And when possessed killed John and then YED made a deal with Mary to visit Sam in his nursery and he would bring John back to life.

Here are the concept arts for Sam and Dean for the new anime:

Looks alright.

I'm not a big fan of anime either, but at least it's not like we were promised some great animated series or anything and then were told "Oh and BTW, it's anime." It's fine for some little tie-in or whatever.

Anime isn't too bad. Death Note, Afro Samurai, Gundam, Batman: Gotham Knight; Anime has its gems, imo.

The only complaint I have is that Dean's necklace shouldn't be an upside down triangle, lol. And even if it's a quick draw without much detail(which it doesn't look like), an egg shape necklace would have made more sense than an upside down triangle.

Oh, well, that's nitpicking I guess.

I'm not a big anime fan either. I thought Gotham Knight was rather disappointing. Looked good, but meh storywise. I'll give this a shot, though. Only because it's Supernatuarl ;)

Ok.

First of all, I love the show. I have been a huge fan since the first season and this is EASILY one of the best television shows. Yes, I put it right up there with LOST, mofos.

When Season 5 started I remember reading that it was supposed to be the definitive ending to the series. I watched the whole season and was just on a great ride from the first to, well, I thought the last. When the last episode ended I was left sitting there going, "Wait a minute...there is going to be another season?! When in the name of the holy ghost did this happen?!?!"

Don't get me wrong I am not upset. I am quite the opposite. I am absolutely ecstatic over it!

Does anybody here know why they added another season?

SP is like the 3rd highest rated show on the network? Of course they would renew it when they still had their cast signed on.

Because Melrose Place tanked. Essentially.

Such potential...:csad:

Jensen mentioned that if when both Supernatural and smallville end, it will deliver a blow to CW as it will lose it's two biggest shows.

And he's right. All they'll have left is teenage girl based dramas and reality shows that only barely scrape by ratings-wise no matter how much The CW advertises them.

For a number of reasons.

Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, from the very beginning, signed on for six seasons; SPN's ratings sky-rocketed during its fourth season and kept that high during its fifth; CW's losing ratings when it comes to their tweeny-bopper dramas(but those same tweeny-boppers are watching Vampire Diaries instead); and perhaps WB is insisting the CW to keep THEIR shows that are still on air, such as Smallville and Supernatural(that were on the WB before the CW was created).

The only downfall is that Eric Kripke is no longer the showrunner, but if he is assuring us that he'll stay close to the series and help out new showrunner Sera Gamble, then the sixth season won't be that bad at all.

And Supernatural > LOST, easily.

Jensen mentioned that if when both Supernatural and smallville end, it will deliver a blow to CW as it will lose it's two biggest shows.

And Jensen is a smart man to say that. And ballsy to say the least. I always thought the people, guys especially, that are working on the network's series(SPN and SV's cast) would be too scared to say anything bad about the CW and the demon herself over possible fear of cancellation.

I bet Kripke made him say it.
