SUPERNATURAL Season 8! - Part 1

The Rugaru episode was just nasty though, definitely not creepy.

ALTHOUGH, the "Family Remains" episode was creepy to the max.

You'd think they would have taken redhead back to the newly discovered cell or prep the location first before reviving her. We've seen them do it countless times before. They sometimes had secondary barriers in case the first broke. This approach was unlike them.

Nice gesture by Cas to try and settle things with Dean even though I don't think he deserves it in this case. He was right to rough up the virgin. The pie is a must in order for it to work. lol

R.I.P old faces especially Sarah. I hope a bit of it carries on to next week before they capture Crowley.

What ever happened to that scene of cas kicking the sh** out of dean? I remember towards the end if summer there was a clip of it online, but I don't remember seeing it any episode. Man that would have been satisfying to see.

It happened in "Goodbye Stranger." Cas came to his senses & healed him up.

Is Abbadon making a powerplay for hell? She seems out of his league being a Knight of Hell and all that. I would love to see her wipe the floor with Crowley's smug face.

^^I wouldn't mind having her around for season 9, I like the fact that she's powerful and I like the actress portraying her as well! I think she's more powerful than Crowley!

Not sure how I feel about tonights episode. Mainly the Castiel plotline to shutdown Heaven. He just got ragged on by Dean and he does this. Not to mention I don't like the convenient half human half angel character. Funny how the Heaven trials involve taking a life while the Hell trials involve rescuing one and curing one.

And I expected the killing of the saved lives to be throughout the whole episode and not just the second half. Smart move by Crowley though, using the books. I loved the scene with his speech while Sam and Dean were looking for the bag. But did the boys just forget about Abbadon? I hope not.

The black and white flashback scenes were great. Just when I was talking about them losing their creepy. These were the best exorcist scenes I've seen since season 1.

The finale looks cool. Its crunch time clearly.
Totally agree with everything! Btw, I wonder if they shutdown Heaven and /or close the Gates of Hell, what will happen with the people's souls? Will they still be able to go into Heaven & Hell only that nothing can come out anymore or not even the souls would be able to go in?

Well that happened in Episode 17, in "Goodbye Stranger"!

The finale looks intense, much better than the ones in Season 6 & 7 I can't wait for it!

PS: It was great seeing Sarah, too bad they couldn't save her! And lol I bet Cass bought the Busty Asian Beauties issue for Dean!:D

I think her being a Knight of Hell, makes Crowley out of her league. She's among some of the first demons, hand picked by Lucifer. Crowely is just a crossroads demon that saw the vacuum of power in Hell, and took it over declaring himself king.

That's what Metatron asked Dean in "the Great Escapist."

It's your choice. And that's what this has all been about, the choices your kind make. But you're gonna have to weigh that choice. Ask yourself: what is it going to take to do this, and what will the world be like after it's done?

We'll have to wait and see.

i love how cas was buying stuff for dean. he even got the asian porn mag.

That ending, that right there was some Godfather ****.

Last night's ep... Sucked.

Not because of what ultimately happened. We all knew Abbadon was going to eventually resurface, and Crowley's play is absolutely ingenious.

What sucked is how stupid the writers made our primary heroes seem. It was embarrassingly poor writing.

Sam and Dean dig up arguably the most powerful demon they've ever met to cure instead of some chump demon? They didn't know at the time that Crowley was keeping his people away - this decision was made first.

Then they take her to a warehouse instead of their mega dungeon... And then leave her unattended. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Lazy writing, in a contrived way to get Abbadon back.

And then we've got Cas being manipulated, quite easily, into shutting the doors of Heaven... Even though he was running with the Angrl tablet for no reason other than to stop that.

I just don't get it.

I don't think their leaving her unattended was stupid or lazy writing. It made perfect sense in context. Crowley called them on the phone (which had never happened before) and told them that he was murdering all the people they had saved one by one. It seems totally believable to me that they'd be distracted by that.

And it makes sense to me that they'd chose Abaddon in the first place. She's a demon they have access to who's not in contact with Crowley so them taking her wouldn't tip their hand as to what they're doing, and they didn't imagine she'd ever be able to dig the bullet out. They under estimated her, sure, but the way they did seems totally believable and in-character to me.

The only thing that seems logically shaky is the fact that they didn't use the dungeon in the bunker. It seemed like they were setting it up for them to take her there, but they just didn't.

Your post is ambiguous. Saying someone is "out of your league" is to mean they are above you. Saying Crowley is out of her league is to say he is more powerful or above her in status. Yet you go on to say he is just a jumped up crossroads demon. Are you saying that she is probably more powerful or that he is more powerful? Genuinely confused.:)

You missed the part where they didn't set up a devil trap or any other restraints before reviving her. They usually do that part first before summoning demons or in this case reviving one. Last night, they went backwards with it. Revive then start work on prepping the area before Crowley called. That was sloppy. Why take that approach against the strongest demon they've faced?

Yeah I think everything the boys did was fine except for not taking her back to the dungeon. She was incapacitated, so transporting her would have been even more simple than a regular demon. They even knew it was going to take somewhere in the ballpark of eight hours!

I don't really understand how the process works though. Who's blood is being injected into the demon? I thought Sam mentioned the father went to confession right before storing his blood, but Dean mentioned something about how they were about to get Abadon to confess a lot before she caught on. I guess it doesn't really matter either way though. Just probably a bad idea for an already weakened Sam to loose a lot of blood and still go through with whatever the big finale to the tests are.

Edit: ^^ and they did kind of set up the devils trap before hand. They just didn't think she'd be able to pull it out of her head. No *obvious* reason for two of them, right?

Even not taking her back felt fine to me. She couldn't do anything with that bullet still dodged into her skull...I don't blame Sam and Dean for not realizing that Abaddon could control her hand like that.

I think the reason they didn't set up a trap was because there was already one on the bullet buried in her skull.

Re-watch it when they discover that she has escaped. There's no trap under the chair. It's just the chair. If they didn't put one of the ground before hand. They sure as hell didn't bother with one on the ceiling. The dungeon was the place to go but they didn't for the story-line's sake.

Oh I'm talking about the one scratched onto the bullet that was in her head. That basically made her immobile right? But I do agree that they really should have thought about going to the dungeon. An 8 hour exorcism is not something you should be doing in a unsecured location.

She's more powerful. Crowely has really only gotten by on wits.

Yeah Sam and Dean underestimated her because of the bullet in her brain. Bullet or no bullet they should have brought her to the dungeon. I'm just going to assume they didn't want her there because that was the whole point of their grandfather keeping the key away from her. Still, the boys have been alot more careful in the past.

An easy explanation would have been "Let's not drive across state lines with a severed head in our car."

The next season has already been announced right?

What do you guys think Abadon's new plan is going to be? In the past she was just going after the key to the boys new HQ right? After her reaction to knowing Crowley is in charge, I think it's a safe bet to think she'll want to lead. For what though? Turning earth into a new hell could be a cool idea. I could definitely picture that if the demon tablet just seals the gates of hell and doesn't drag the demons still on earth back down first.

The same car with an arsenal in it that they drive everywhere else?

There's a pretty big difference between possession of unlicensed firearms and having a woman's severed head in your car.

Also, in a lot US states the arsenal in their car is suspicious but not illegal.
