Supes/Bats/WW in the CWverse?

Maybe when the Arrow and Flash shows both finish one day they'll continue in ongoing comics and then they'll introduce the big A-Listers that way? I mean that's what they did with Smallville.

Even though I don't think we'll be seeing the trinity on the small screen in the foreseeable future, if we're fancasting TV versions (especially on the CW), my choice for Diana Prince would be a Greek-Canadian actress by the name of Marie Avgeropoulos.

She's appeared on many CW shows and is currently a regular on one as well (The 100). When they were developing Amazon, I thought she would have been a perfect choice for a young Diana Prince, for it.
Oh I've heard of her.:hubba:hubba:hrt::hrt:

She's my fancasting choice for the Pink Ranger for the future Power Rangers movie. She seems like a strong female character but she can still pass for a teenager atm. Maybe Donna Troy or Cassandra Sandsmark.

Doesn't help that they regularly drop Easter Eggs which spur that on.

Green Arrow is A-List. You'd think there were only 3 great DC characters. Just because DC keep pushing them doesn't mean much, look at it in context, look at the character's vintage, he's been in nearly constant publication since before the second world war, in 2016 he will have been on live action TV 10 calendar years straight (Arrow is pretty much guaranteed that unless the CW folds). Wonder Woman hasn't been on TV since the 70s and that was for 60 episodes. Arrow will beat that at the end of this coming season. Lynda was an icon to be sure but Wonder Woman would be of Green Arrow calibre without her. Yet, her A-List status is never in doubt.

DC need to push their A-List more. The A-List being:

Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Justice League as a team
Titans as a team
Legion as a team (lets not get into the current madness of cancelling it, every crisis can't leave them alone can they?)
Green Lantern
Flash
Dick Grayson (as Nightwing or Robin)
Green Arrow
Supergirl
Batgirl
Aquaman
Captain Marvel
Catwoman

Green Arrow is more like Batman in this universe. And The Flash in a way is like Superman as the first super powered human and as Oliver said, a hope.

How can you separate Batman and Oliver in this besides the costumes and weapons.

Both are dark, billionaires, brooding, and masters of martial arts.

If Batman appears, he will just be a wannabe Arrow.

They might be able to pull off Superman in this universe as a new powerful alien.

We know Bruce Wayne exist in the Arrow & The Flash universe

or maaaybe only Thomas Wayne exists in this universe....

Or maybe the Wayne's didn't die, and Bruce Wayne is all well adjusted and stuff. I would love to hear him tell the story about how his parents almost got shot one time when he was young. It'd be a really cool and interesting way to give him a happy ending.

Also, since Flash involves time travel, what if Flash (or Reverse Flash!) saves the Waynes somehow? That'd be UBER boss.

*cough* If they did feel the need to use alt-Bruce Wayne, I'd really hope they don't make him just a random lazy rich guy. The Bruce Wayne who never lost his parents may never be the obsessive Batman, but he should still be an extremely talented individual of strong character. Maybe he never wears a cowl, but he should at least be a good-aligned Lex Luthor.

^I'd agree with that, the Wayne Foundation would still be a thing, maybe even moreso. I'd love to have Bruce Wayne give a speech to Oliver about letting go of his demons. That'd be so hilarious to me.

How about an old Bruce Wayne ala Batman Beyond so Ollie gets a mentor who was the vigilante from say the 70's?

Could have next gen versions of his rogue's gallery and have Terry McGinnis be introduced as the new Batman because Ollie made it clear Bruce's legacy is far from done.

What do you think?

I think I like the Thomas Wayne thing someone mentioned. Have this show set in an Alternate Universe maybe where Krypton never explodes. Would explain why no Superman, Supergirl etc

I'm absolutely okay with Supes and Bats existing in the Flash/Arrow universe. Hell, I'd be okay with them showing up, or being referred to
(kind of like Agents of Shield referenced TWS ) it'd be great to see
an arrow bounce off Superman, or see Clark catch up to the Flash.

While I'd love an Affleck or Cavill cameo, it seems highly unlikely - but one can dream.

I suppose that one advantage DC/WB have over Marvel /Disney is that they own the rights to pretty much all the DC characters - whereas Marvel has to work things out with Sony and Fox (which is why we'll get two different Quicksilvers).
WB owns 50% of the CW, who make Flash and Arrow and of course they, much like Carmine Falcone, control Gotham.

So cross-overs are more than possible (although only likely in my dreams).

Matt Bomer as Superman...

Let's hope if Superman is to appear in the TV universe that they listen to us and cast Bomer (of course if he has time, I have no doubts he'd play the role he's a big fan).

There is no reason in world they cant have Batman, Supermam, Wonder-Woman etc. They don't have to actually appear to exist. You could have Olive or Berry see news story where Superman or Wonder-Woman is saving lives. You could have Bruce Wayne or Clark Kent in Arrow or The Flash but not as there alter ego's. Doing this would not acknowledge the film universe nor deny it either. It would show a much larger universe in terms of these shows.

Despite all that's been said I'd love to see DC's trinity show up, hell even all at once -and MORE heroes too. If you're going to have a show with
Ollie and Barry , it feels wrong to leave out their mutual friend Captain Harold Jordan out. Anyway
that's just IMO, but if they are going to have firestorm why not superman? Again just Imo !

Superman(in a full-blown appearance, not just a tease like the Smallville series finale) showing up on any DC live action TV series would be mind blowing, like Spock on TNG or Brock Lesnar defending the title on Raw. But I don't think it'll ever happen because I think WB has fallen into the mindset that Batman and Superman are too big for live action TV unless they're kids and/or not superheroes yet.

Superman making an appearance....mind blowing is the right phrase. It would be beyond awesome - at least as awesome as Spock's appearance on TNG (or in the Star Trek Abrams movie).

Batman turning up on Arrow would be equally orgasmic (or nerdgasmic, or whatever, it'd be great !)

There are so many ways it could happen - the old multiverse, parallell earths thing, which DC does anyway, and would easily explain how the characters could meet, but not cross paths all the time.

Ah well, we can dare to dream.

If only WBs/DC felt that way, I really do think they insult people's intelligence at times. It's like when they did the whole Bat embargo crap back in the day. They need to realise that people will happily see different actors play these parts on both TV and Film. I think they also worry that people won't pay to see it if they get it for free on TV but that shouldn't stop these characters making the odd TV appearance.

I think Warner Bros. should have just made a separate network or a streaming service for the DCTV universe. Hell that could be it's name "DCTV". It could air things like re-runs of DC shows, air DC movies, and eventually phase out the old show with new shows:Arrow, Flash, Constantine, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, maybe Green Lantern. Pretty much making the TV side earth-2 while movies are earth-prime.
