I remember a while back when SHH! had an article about X3.
It was a spoiler, and I read it, but didn't know it was a spoiler until I saw the end. It was from the X3 writers. I think it was Zak, and he said that there would be a final battle against Wolverine and Magneto.

I remember it, but does anyone else remember that?
I hope I didn't imagine it.

Nevertheless, I am glad that it didn't happen, because Magneto can crush Wolverine like nothing.

Even the thought of Wolverine vs Magneto is absurd. It'd be like a Vacuum Cleaner going up against a Tornado.

i remember reading that and i thought it was ******ed when i saw it. it only couldve ended in two ways- the way magneto always deals with wolverine, or finally gets fed up and pull the adamantium from his bones.

More like Dust going against a Dust-Buster if you ask me.

maybe they were talking about the ending fight secene. That was kind of Wolverine magneto ish....I mean Wolverine was involved. Other then that, though I don't see it.

It would be cool to see the adamantium get ripped out of Wolverine's body in one of the movies though, that would be a kickass secene. Then have prof x take out magento just like the comics.

...And then, bring on Onslaught.

I thought having Magneto rip the adamantium out of Wolverine before he got hit with the cure would have been a great lead-in for the Wolverine solo movie.

Wolverine would spend the movie wounded and confused, uncovering more about his past. Bring Sabertooth back and keep DeathStryke dead, but reveal that they were once lovers could lead to some excellent dramatic material.

lol i want to see wolverines bones be ripped out and then he heals as a bag of flesh... lol

Maybe it was intended to be a rematch after Wolverine had healed from Magneto ripping the Adamantium from his bones earlier in the film; bone-clawed Wolvie vs metallic-object-hurling Magneto.

From Neil Gaiman's blog

I spent about 45 minutes a few days ago in the X-Men 3 offices, seeing what they'd planned for the movie, watching animatics of some of the sequences, admiring the concept art. I heard people there muttering about the fact they'd got a movie coming out in May 2006 and they didn't seem to have the budget to make the film they were planning, and how they'd probably be reduced to a pulse-pounding tiddlywinks battle between Magneto and Wolverine in the final sequence -- but they all seemed very committed to the project, while hoping that their budget and time issues could be worked out with the powers that be.

Neil Gaiman was touring the place when Matthew Vaughn was on board last year.Even then they were rushing to meet the release date.

I definitely remember reading that, Retroman..Wow...That was quite a while ago..

And what would the fight scenes be? Sabretooth beating the s*** out of Logan???

Oh this must be the awesome part where Logan distracts Magneto While Beast runs up behind him and stabs him with cure needles. God what an awesome final battle. The only possible way it could have been better is if Beast would have gotten on all fours behind Magneto and have Logan push him over then Magneto would start crying and all the X-Men/brotherhood/thundercats all start laughing at him. Wide shot pulling back on the laughter and crying Magneto then.....CREDITS!!!!

A Brett Ratner film indeed sir.

Ah yes my friend I went there. But if you are looking for an explanation I was referring to the fact that most Thundercats episodes seem to end with the Thundercats laughing. Usually at some joke made by Snarf.

You do realise this was a joke, that he was being ironic?
