Type
at the begining and
at the end of your spoiler section.

So what was up with that "2 final episodes" business last night?

Has Surface been cancelled?

If so, I hope the show goes out with a bang and has the big creatures attack all at once.

I was wondering the same myself Lizard, the promos looked good, the sound the larger ones made was pretty cool. I hope it's not cancelled?

Well, I just went and looked around the NBC site boards, and apparently the fate of Surface is up in the air right now. The next two eps will end this season, then the show will be up for review to see if it will be renewed or not for 2006-2007. Supposedly there will be some storyline "closure" at the end of this season in case the show gets cancelled, so at least there's consideration being shown to the audience in that respect.

Surface isn't the best show on TV of course, and the characterizations are still kind of weak in comparison with shows like Lost. However, the Jurassic Park-meets-The Abyss storyline is a lot of fun, and I found Surface much more entertaining than the other new "alien species" shows that premiered this season.

As a fan of giant monster stuff, I think I'll send NBC an email just to let them know that I'd like the show to stay on the air, for whatever it's worth. http://www.nbc.com/Surface/

Thanks for the info Lizard, I truly hope they bring it back. I do appreciate them not leaving us out there hanging, but I also think there's so much storyline opportunity with Miles and his transformation. I'll also send a letter, hey everylast one could help.

This episode was pretty good with the mob of people going after Miles. Can't wait for the season finale!

That's because LOST is more character driven. Surface is more about the plot. I like the show but even if they bring it back I kind of wonder where they're going to take it. You can't keep on telling the same monster story season after season. The show was almost set up in a way to only last one season (22 eps or more). I hope it isn't cancelled. Tv is a barren wasteland as it is.

Good points, and so very true.

Does anyone think it could turn into some type of V scenario, where mankind is basically fighting for it's existence? I'm just trying to think of ways they could extend the series, or will Miles become some sort of leader of the species and use it for good? I don't know, but what i do know is i like this show.

Things do seem to be moving quickly now that the season is ending next week. The revelation that the original Kessler might still be alive at age 110 was not unexpected, but I'm wondering where they're going with the claim that the sea-dragons were bred and released on purpose.

I was thinking that the giant creatures were going to attack, so I'm hoping that the tsunami isn't the only thing that will be crashing into the coastal cities next episode.

Also...that whole....noah's arc thing? I think there's a lot of things they can do for a season season. There's other types of monsters out there....as evidenced by previous episodes. Creatures we haven't even seen yet. Also...I think there's more to this government thing than we're told.

Also the fate of that guys brother. And...those rumors of a underwater city from other epsiodes. I hope it gets renewed though. It's the only decent show in that timeslot on Mondays...IMO

What's with the flower thing...and how does it relate to the creatures?
What happened to Jackson?

I dont want this show to end.:(

Also I think Myles is going to be the one to stop the creatures from attacking.

Any show that can revive Martha Plimptons career has my blessing.:D

now that finale kicked ass..Lake Bell is so damn hot shes like the new Gillian Anderson

THAT WAS A SWEET FINALY, I LOVE THIS SHOW, I REALLY HOPE THEY BRING IT BACK! :)

That was pretty cool, even thought the monster action was limited.

Someone give this show some serious bugdet funds and a 2006-07 renewal, please!

Lol all the people who live in the REAL Wilmington (I do) now think it's the funniest thing to go around "Ahhh we got hit by a tsunami!!!". Yeah, we're so cool.
