Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

I am not surprised about [blackout]James[/blackout] leaving. I am sort of bummed a little about how Colby is such a pansy this season (even the last All Star).

I still remember this challenge from Season 2. It shows how much Colby has changed. Speaking of which, I wonder why Michael never came back for another Survivor after his fire accident. He was a fierce competitor as I recall.

Colby has been a complete dud this season. I don't know what has gotten into him.

Hopefully he gets a fire lit under his you know what after this episode.

Just a reminder to everyone, this weeks episode is airing tomorrow night instead of Thursday because of the NCAA tournament.

Judging by the promo, it looks like it's going to be a DOUBLE boot episode this week!

Aw crap, didn't realize :csad:

Tonight's episode was a great one! (Despite who left and who stayed.)

Amanda to James: 'You've got to stop stealing the bananas.'

James on Colby: 'It's like my Superman sucks!'

:lmao:

Oh, and I also loooooooooooved Sandra telling Russell to go wash his dirty *** in her voting confessional.

:hehe: :hehe:

The later, I didn't care about James leaving. I just hate Russell so watching him make it another round was not what I wanted to see. Now we get to seem him boast some more this entire season, whoopee!

Tyson voting for Parvati just made absolutely no sense whatsoever. He just ups and just decides to vote for her after one conversation with Russell and not even talking about it with his tribemates. Uh no, not buying it.

Something was just..........off about that entire thing.

One thing we know about Tyson is that he is vain, petty, and arrogant. I'm guessing he and Russell had a couple other conversations that they left out to build suspense, but he thought with Russell voting Parvati he would be able to do so as well. Being as he does not like Parvati, he would take pleasure in voting for her and he was too arrogant to see that it could cost him the game.

You may not like him, but that was devilishly brilliant. Another classic moment and almost seemed like it was right out of Samoa.

It was a good move, but it wasn't something that was just completely brilliant. The move banked more on Tyson being stupid then Russell or Parvati being these two great players. One of those two were gone if Tyson had just listened to Boston Rob.

What a moron.

THAT WAS BRILLIANT!

Man, this episode was great and my faith in Russell is once again restored. I loved the confused look on Rob's face. He knew he was totally schooled by the master in tactics and strategy.

I hate that
James
was eliminated. He was by far my favorite player and was hoping for him to go further this time around

Speaking of which, what was up
with Colby rolling over and dying, pretty much telling them all to vote him out? I thought that was rather weak but the no one voted him. Did he have an agreement with everyone else but Jams that they edited out of the show? That seemed odd. Why would they blindside James or did he already know?

Of course it was brilliant. I get that you don't like Russell, but come off it. An elementary player would've tried to flip Coach, after all, Coach and Russell had talked earlier in the game and Coach knew about the idol. Russell did something far more clever. He read each of those players and singled out the weak link with a weakness that he could exploit (Tyson's arrogance) and used it to save his own neck, while also making a show for Coach that says, "I might want to stick with this guy." The move was brilliant, no matter how you paint it.

I thnk you're reading way too much into Russells game.....

I thought it was a brilliant move by Russell. Why did Danielle vote for Tyson? Wasn't she part of Rob's group? I can't wait until someone takes out Sandra, she's really annoying.

And you're selling him way too short.

I think she's with Russell.

You've never liked Russell though and never thought he had much game. I don't know how Russell did it, but he did flip Tyson, which saved his skin and alliance. At the same time, he also probably brought Coach over to his side with his loyalty comment. Then if Coach and Jerri are still tight, could have brought Jerri along too. It's a possible 3 person alliance switch. I don't think Russell will last nearly as long this season as he did last, but last night did prove he knows how to play this game really well.

Looks like it's Sandra/Rob/Courtney vs. Parvati/Russell/Danielle next week, with Coach and Jerri stuck in the middle....

REELING FROM A SHOCKING TRIBAL COUNCIL, THE VILLAINS SEEK TO REGROUP BUT WITH TWO SOLID ALLIANCES OF THREE PITTED AGAINST EACH OTHER; ONE LUCKY PAIR FINDS THE FATE OF THE TRIBE IN THEIR HANDS, ON "SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS," THURSDAY, APRIL 1

"I'm Not A Good Villain" - Hurt and betrayed by a close ally, one castaway learns the hard way that loyalty isn't always easy, and one powerhouse learns from experience that old grudges die hard, on SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS, Thursday, April 1 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Oh, and apparently, Courtney has an alliance with JT on the Heroes tribe. If you don't know, Courtney is dating Stephen from Tocantins so I guess that's where that alliance came from.
------

I've given Russell credit plenty for the move, I just thought it wasn't as brilliant as say, The Black Widow alliance convincing Erik to give away his immunity idol in Microneisa or other things I've seen. It was good, but didn't necessarily highlight anything Russell did brilliantly himself.

We'll see, he's once again playing an aggressive game, but a winning one? We'll have to see......

Sounds like it's going to be another good episode.

My thoughts on the episode

I think that the quality of Russells play depends on what he thought was going on, if he thought that the other players weren't smart enough to go with the 3/3 splitting of the votes and were all voting for Parvati then his play sucked but if he knew that he had talked Tyson out of that scenario then his play was great.

Personally I think it is entirely plausible that Russell thought that every one in Robs alliance was going to vote Parvati but were trying to get him to play his idol (Rob btw was incredibly unsubtle and really played that badly). Russell probably nearly **** bricks when the first vote with his name came up :yay:

Voting out James made sense, the leg was clearly bothering him more then he was willing to admit. If another very physical challenge came along it could have caused him to injure himself even further. The Heroes need to win all the immunity challenges until the merge of they are in serious trouble.

Oh, his play wasn't nearly as good as convincing Eric to give up immunity or James not to play either of his Hidden Immunity Idols. Tyson's vote ranks up there in stupidity, but it felt more like arrogance on Tyson's part than Russell manipulating him. I think the brilliance in the play is his line to Coach because it plays right into Coach's fatal flaw, his "warrior's/honor code"

Before Tribal Council Russell told the camera that he thought Rob was going to split the votes, and that's why he talked to Tyson to swing him to vote Parvati.

But still, you have to give Russell credit for being able to read them well enough and to single out Tyson as the weak link. Many worse players would've just tried to get Coach to switch his vote as he and Russell were on good terms, which would've been a futile act as Coach is stubborn. Russell however, was smart enough to find the fatal character flaw in the weak link and use it against him. Its easy to write it off as "Tyson's arrogance," but Russell was smart enough to both detect and manipulate that arrogance, and to have the foresight to read through Rob's B.S. and know that he was going to split the vote.

I know SuperT doesn't like giving Russell credit for anything (I personally think its just cause SUperT knows that Russell is a better strategist than his girl Cirie ;)) but you just gotta give him credit for this move. It was amazing. Easily the best strategic play of the past 3 or 4 seasons at least.

I'm in full agreement with you on everything you've said regarding the last episode.

I hope it isn't Russell that gets blindsided by Parvati. You know she would do it in a heartbeat.

I also can't stand Sandra and every time Courtney is on screen I want to throw a steak at her cachectic body.

HA! That is highly debateable since neither one of them have won..yet. :hehe:

Survivor 21 will be fliming in Nicaraugua next season!
