The wish list:

1. Redemption Island is retired.
2. Exile Island brought back instead.
3. Final 2 restored again.
4. All original cast of 16.
5. The return of epic and difficult challenges.
6. Seaside location that actually allows for water based challenges.

Wish list cont'd

7. No mentor/age/race/guys vs girls gimmicks! These have all ultimately been shown to be garbage.
8. Random selected tribes (choosing colored marbles in a bag) NOT producer selected breakdowns like Rob's legion of sheep.
9. No immunity idols...ever

Good lists but a revision to number 9.

9.5. A limit of three immunity idols per game. One hidden at each tribe camp initially and one hidden at merge. Once used, they are out of the game. It wasn't terrible this season, but I really don't want a repeat of the three preceding seasons. Idols add an interesting strategic twist to the game, but as with all things they should be used in moderation.

I'll cosign the 1-1-1 hidden immunity idol placement.

I think Redemption Island should be saved for the next All-Star season. It'd work better in that situation, one gimmick matched with another. You'd already have people playing the game for the second, third, fourth, or FIFTH time, so the concept of RI doesn't discredit the season as much. Redemption All-Stars.

They should finally throw caution to the wind...Survivor: Deliverance.

That's a very good wish list above!

Does that mean Raplh gets invited back?

Ralph said that he's not gay but so far he's asked to lick Steve's fingers, told Grant he'd lick his neck, had a male "friend from home" come as his relative, and kicked Andrea out of bed so he could sleep with Matt and Mike.

What kills me about getting rid of the F2 was how Probst has said the best thing to happen to the show was Richard Hatch (and not Rudy) winning the original season eleven years ago. That alone opened the door to all the types of different people we've seen pull off the win over the years. Had there been a F3 in front of the jury, you can bet your sweet ass Rudy would have won.

Some times the player everyone wants to see win pulls it off (Ethan, Tom and J.T. come to mind) and some times they get so close but lose out (Rob C., Kathy from Marquesas, etc.) That's the beauty of the whole thing and why I think this show has lasted as long as it has with viewers.

The 'final 3' always leaves someone out. It's not really fair.

Redemption Island is back, two returning players.

Two more former players are coming back again??

I feel like they are real life trolling us now.

I wonder who the two returning players are. I really hope it isn't someone like Parvati. I'm getting a little tired of seeing the same players return over and over again.

If I were to guess, its going to be Coach and Phillip. Probst has been joking about it all season in his blog and being as Rob vs. Russell started out as a throw away joke during the Heroes vs. Villains reunion show, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Coach vs Phillip joke come to life as well.

Who else would they bring back though? Remember when they brought back Stephanie and Bobby Jon and no one gave a **** because both were terrible personalities? They won't make that mistake again. My guess is it will be either Phillip/Coach, Amanda/Parv, or Tyson and another over the top villain like Hatch or Fairplay. Maybe Rupert will get worked in? They gave Rob four shots, why not him?

I would think past winners would be exempt.

Amanda is a good choice, and Parvati would seem to be her natural counterpart, but she's a past winner.

I think it'll be Amanda vs. Ozzy. And I saw some swimming challenges in the preview so look out for him to get the Rob treatment.

I don't like the concept of players returning to play with rookies, but Rob Cesternino is a guy in need of Redemption and is a good character. Fairplay I think burned all his bridges to Survivor at the 20th season party.

I just wish we could have gotten a new season free of any previous players. :csad:

I think we all hate Johnny Fairplay.

I thought they closed the book on Fairplay in fans vs favorites.

I don't want to see another season of a returning player controlling minions , not by any means.

Well, if they're going to go this route of returning players then do another fans versus faves. As it stands with the two returning players:

-they'll have big targets on their backs. I don't think there could be another Ometepe-like tribe. Not with Rob winning in a landslide tonight. It'll be more like two Zapatera tribes, only less desperate to get rid of the vet.
-let the returning players do a schoolyard pick to eliminate any element of producers stacking the tribes. Let them pick their poison or paradise.
-you could even have the returnees be float between tribes or something before settling into one.

Yeah, only reason I said Parv is because I know how much the producers love both her and Amanda and they are as you said, one another's counterparts. I suppose if winners are to be excluded, Cirie could serve as Amanda's counterpart and lord knows that the producers LOVE to push Cirie despite being the definition of a floater.

I'd like to see Cesterino as I still firmly believe that the wrong Rob got the push by the producers, but I'm not holding my breath on it.

Ozzy, I think has been out of people's minds for too long. He was last present in Fans vs. Favorites, right? He didn't last terribly long and didn't make the Heroes vs. Villains cut. The only way I could see Ozzy making the cut is if they bring back Colby. His performance in Heroes vs. Villains was downright disgraceful and I know he has expressed interest in redeeming himself, so Ozzy may work as a counterpart to him, though Rupert also could and is far more popular.

Finally, what happened at the 20th season party?

Maybe we're thinking too far back. Maybe it will be Matt and Mike, the two best Redemption Island players from this year? Or Matt and Andrea, the two players who fought their way back.
