Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

Was it just me or did anyone else end up LIKING Coach after the premiere? He seemed way more laid back and down to earth than he did during Tocantins.

Maybe it's the editing.

Cirie is a hero? I havent seen alot of seasons but from what I have watched, she was one of the most manipulative players

Why would Cirie be considered a villain? Because she played the game like it's suppose to be played both times? She's nice, non-arrogant, down to Earth, and very articulate about what's always going on.

If simply being manipulative is a trait that makes someone a villain, than why not put Tom on the villains tribe? He was just as manipulative strategically during Palau as Cirie was on her two seasons.

Stephenie, another one, doesn't ring as being a big Hero for me. She was a nice girl during Palau, but people seem to forget she morphed into an absolute b**** during Guatemala.

It's also puzzling why they think Parvati is considered a Villain, yet her two biggest allies from Micronesia (Cirie, Amanda) are on the Heroes tribe.

Looooved the premiere. It's sort of amusing how many of the veterans are intimidated by Russell.

I think that voting off Sugar rather than taking advantage and getting rid of an actual strong contender was a bit of a waste.

Yes, voting out Sugar was a definite waste - specifically for Tom and Cirie. Even Cirie said it was a worthless move but you have to roll with the punches this early on.

At least they got rid of her early. As she demonstrated during Gabon, Sugar is just not a player you can trust to play with her brain during the game. She plays too emotionally (as evidenced by voting out Amanda WTH?!) and people that play with their emotions are too unpredictable to keep around.

Remember how she ruined pretty much every single players game during Gabon (specifically Crystal and Kenny). Just be thankful she's out early and she's not there anymore so there's no chance she can have an emotional breakdown towards the end resulting in another crappy winner.

The smart vote for most of the Heroes would have been to get rid of Cirie, she isn't a big help in the challenges and she's shown that she is a social threat. This is of course assuming that you want to keep the tribe strong in the early days, I seem to remember that in the first All-star season the players were a bit over paranoid about physically strong players and targeted them with no regard for reaching the merge with the numbers.

Another reason for voting Cirie out is of course her prior connections to Amanda and Parvati which make it a no brainer imo.

Sugar said in her post-show interview that there is apparently a "Micronesia Five" alliance going on on the Heroes tribe. I'm assuming it's James/Amanda/Cirie/Candice, and the fifth one? I have a feeling it may be Colby or Rupert.

Hmm...that's very interesting. I just hope that we got newer survivors in the end...and not the ones that have already gone.

People only consider Parvati a Villain because she and Cirie had the balls to eliminate golden boy Ozzy during Micronesia while everyone else was heralding him as some sort of saviour.

Parv (along w/ Cirie) also get a lot of flack for creating the Black Widow Brigade (All womens alliance) in Micronesia that eliminated all the men from the competition and even convinced a guy to give up his immunity idol and then booted him after.

I personally don't consider either of those things to make her a villain, it's just a part of the game. I don't think Parvati is a Villain nor a Hero.

This episode = Woooooooooooow! This season is shaping up to be pretty freakin' epic! I guess the Heroes are the actual Villains this season. Everyone on that tribe is playing extra dirty dirty this time around! Love it!

Can I just that I LOVE that someone (James) finally called out Stephenie on how worthless she is?! I can't believe how people would always say she was one of the strongest women ever and forget that she was on the tribe that lost every single immunity challenge on her season and she only won one individual challenge during the entire Guatemala season. Good riddance I say!

It took James three seasons to find a personality! I expect that Heroes tribe to completely self destruct for the rest of the season.

This was a great episode! James had better be careful though...or he's going to find himself getting booted.

I know that I have said this before, but I have to say it again. I really like that Jeff takes an interest in injured cast members.

I wasn't impressed by her tonight. She isn't positioning herself to take control of the tribe. She is desperately waiting for a stronger player to do it, then she can grab the coattails and take credit for their accomplishments. Just like she did the past two games.

Uhm, what? How can anyone say that Cirie is a coattail rider? Coattail riders don't control both seasons they played. Whose coattails did she ever ride? What moves did she take credit for that she didn't orchestrate herself during both or games?!

She's one of the smartest players this game has ever had.

Cirie getting voted out. She actually doesn't get the majority of the votes that round. Cirie/Candice/Amanda/James and I'm assuming JT/Rupert all vote for Tom and Tom/Colby vote for Cirie. Tom uses that stupid Hidden Immunity Idol he finds and Cirie goes home

I am thoroughly enjoying the Hades out of the Villains, especially Boston Rob. Man was insane at the immunity challenge. His passion for the game really heightened my respect for him. I despised him in TAR.

The Heroes, on the other hand, on the whole, just plain suck. Whereas the Villains' egos seem to be co-existing rather harmoniously, with some of them being much more laid-back this time round, the Heroes' are battling for dominance. Only one I'm rooting for now in that tribe is Cirie, who seems to be the only one among the Heroes not only above all the ******** seriousness, but able to find some amusement out of it all. Jerri thinks her Villains are in the pit of negativity; I'd like to hear her opinion of the Heroes.

I hope James goes soon. While Stephanie was idiotic to have butted in where she was not wanted (should've let JT dig his hole and take the blame, as even with his One Voice, I doubt the Heroes would've won), and even sillier for that parting shot of hers, James' retort was just puerile. Next week looks promising, though I ought not to invest so much in Survivor previews.

Let's hope the constant awesomeness of the episodes continue on into next week's.

I still don't get what was so awful about anything James said last night. Everything was completely spot on.

Stephenie played the perpetual victim both times she played. Always blamed other players for her failures and shortcomings in the game and never took accountability for her own actions. Remember it was her idea to vote out Jolanda at the first TC during Palau, sealing Ulongs fate.

I particularly liked the scene of James running around the Heroes camp telling everyone that Stephenie drove her entire tribe out of the game and that she was cursed.

Sorry for the double post, but I watched the Insider clips over at CBS.com, and they give a good feel on the alliances on the Villains tribe since we haven't seen much of that yet with the Heroes completely falling apart.

The ruling alliance is apparently Parvati/Russell/Danielle/Sandra/Rob/Courtney with two sub-alliances under that. Parvati/Russell/Danielle are alligned with each other. Sandra/Rob/Courtney are alligned.

Coach, Tyson, Jerri, and Randy all hang out together and are on the outs of the tribe.

Definitely seemed out of character for James to act the way he did this last episode. From what I remember he's typically been very quiet and laid back type of personality, maybe its because he's usually on successful teams. I've always liked James, the guy is a beast but hes definitely not a strategic player which will always be his downfall. I like that he's showing some passion but hopefully it doesn't put a target on his back now.

That was my favorite part of the episode, after Rob comes back with the clam, Russell starts chasing the chickens, hilarious!
