Russel is there to prove a point.He stated that in one of the reunion shows.
 
Rob is overrated. He has played literally one good game of Survivor, and he played it by convincing the mediocre players such as Alicia, Rupert, Amber, and Big Tom to group together and take out all of the real All-Stars. Survivor All-Stars quickly became "Survivor: Players Who Barely Made Jury But We Put on the Show to Fill a Demographic." How Rob got this reputation as one of the best players is beyond me. Russell and Richard or Russell and Brian would be far more fitting for this season.
 
Initial thoughts on the season based on the first five minutes:

This cast seems interesting. Its unfortunate that they brought in Boston Rob and Russell who will steal all of the focus.. Like Stephanie already said, "If I'm not the one Russell picks to take to the end, then I'm done." This is ridiculous. They already get a huge mental edge as the players look at them as celebrities.
 
Richard Hatch plans to return to Survivor in a future season of the show.

I rolled my eyes at that. Already the players are too intimidated to take out Rob or Russel I think.



Someone just asked Boston Rob if he's from Boston.. these guys are in trouble lol.

That's why I think seasons like this are a bad idea. Stephanie pretty much used her celebrity status to get to the end of Guatemala. Fans vs. Favorites, favorites dominated, not because they were the best but because the fans idolized them. I figure its only a matter of time before these people talking about getting Rob and Russell out get star struck as well. Its just a ridiculous and unnecessary twist. An all-star season is one thing as they are on even footing, but to put them in with newbies is unfair IMO.

I'm gonna call it. He ends up acting like a dick, which makes Kristina and Francesca sell him out. He gets voted out and by that point Rob gets wise to the idol and takes steps to protect himself, and manages to control the tribe.

On the bright side, I'm loving Kristina so far. She seems to have a good head on her houlders and realizes what she must do to win the game. I love that she is not star struck in the least.
 
Is it me or did Russell give Rob a little signal? Secret alliance?

There's always that one player that comes on like Phillip did , I'll be shocked if he lasts much longer.

Kristina is probably one of the best so far but hopefully she doesn't come off as too much of a loner and gets herself casted out.
 
He may be a bit loud mouthed, but he cracks me up. Every word out of his mouth is hillarious.

:lmao: The look on his face if they split the votes will be funny.
 
This is insane the way he is using his celebrity to intimidate and extort people. This tribe is too young for their own good. This should be a major warning sign to all of them. But they love it. Wonder how much they will enjoy it when it is them that he is doing it to?
 
I could tell from his video Phillip had no idea how to play the game. However, I didn't expect him to be THAT dumb. Wow.
 
MILFy Kristina is way better than Rob's alliance of bores.

How did he figure out she had the idol so quickly? I wouldn't be surprised if someone gave him a little hint there. And LOL at how eager he was to split the vote again....because that worked so well last time!
 
Wow that was crazy. Good start so far, better than last season.

Wait, I thought they couldn't vote Rob or Russ until the merge?

No they can be voted out(that would also be unfair)... I think maybe redemption island will be around to the merge.. i don't know.
 
What a cluster**** of a tribal council! I've gotta say, I'm really enjoying the new season. Phillip is a moron though.

I agree. Rob seemed a bit too in the know for someone on the outside. After Parv being tipped off to ally with Russell, I wouldn't be suprised at all if someone is feeding Rob and Russell a little bit of information to keep the twist from backfiring and them going out early.

I'm still trying to figure out where everyone got the idea that Rob is some legendary player. Despite not having a win, I can get Russell being considered one of the best. But what has Rob really don't to warrant it? 2 of his 3 games he didn't even make jury. I can think of probably 15 players who are better than him. Hell, I can think of at least 1 Survivor Rob who is better than him. Where did all of this hype come from?
 
Well Russell's gone as soon as they lose their first challenge. Lol.

Hopefully she kicks some tail on Redemption Island and gets back in!
