Swamp Thing movies and ideal reboot

Anyone else grew up with the Swamp Thing movies? i saw the first one on cable when i was 4 and i saw the sequel in theaters when i was 7 as i enjoyed them. The first movie made me a fan of the character as i collected the comics since and i also watched and taped both the live-action/animated shows of the early 90s as a kid and had the toys.

I'd love to see a reboot done by Alex Proyas with Guillermo Del Toro/Zack Snyder/Christopher Nolan as producers and make-up by Rick Baker with effects by WETA.

I grew up with the movies and the tv show. Dick Durock was awesome as Swamp Thing, and ignited my love for the character. I would love to see a reboot by Del Toro and effects by WETA.

Grew up with the films and USA Network show too. Dick Durock's passing was one of the few celeb deaths that genuinely got to me (After all we don't know these people!)

Now it has become my obsession with finding the original Ray Wise as Swamp Thing footage.

If del toro ever gets that justice league dark movie off the ground it'll have swamp thing in it.

I loved the Swamp Thing movies and the live action show as a kid, and they're still guilty pleasures of mine.

The character is one of my favorite literary characters because of the work Alan Moore did with the Saga of the Swamp Thing. There are amazing, beautiful, terrifying concepts in those stories that would make killer movies. I would start with a rough adaptation of The Anatomy Lesson.

I mean isn't it cool that Adrienne is 2 DC characters in DC media properties? she's Alice Cable and guess what other DC character she is?

I don't know why, but in my head I built this teaser trailer/Swamp Thing reveal for a movie. I just thought it'd be something I'd like to see, and a good reveal for the character.

We're talking a 30 second reveal here, not a fully fledged trailer with film footage.

Basically, the camera is zoomed in on the ground as 2 bits of plant start to break through the ground. As they move upwards, more breakthrough around them and grow, weaving together and expanding. As the camera follows them upwards, the two meet and continue to weave together as the plant continues to grow up through the floor as they weave together. We see them weave together to make a large mass as two start to expand out from either side, forming arms and slowly, fingers. The fingers clench to form firsts as we watch more rise up from the top of the chest forming the head as two bits on the face move up to make the iconic 'triangle mouth' of Swamp Thing. Eventually the plants stop moving. We see the face with eyes closed. The eyelids open and we see the bright orange/red eyes of the Swamp Thing.

Don't know why, but it just came to me as something I'd love to see!
