'Sword of Truth' aka Legend of the Seeker

But they only have five full episodes?

They just released the DVD so they locked the number of eps to see free.

Most people have it on their local CW channel.

Edit.

Okay, premiere just ended.

Did Craig Horner get my notes about the chicken necking cause it's under control. And he's actually written to have some command now, even if he still comes across as intimidating as a bed bug.

The actress playing Cara nailed it beyond all hopes. She's my favorite to watch for the season.

Regan, still looking good. Kahlan still seems to lack a commanding voice though.

Ugh. Charisma, what happened. She's was reading from cards all episode and her finale was beyond weak. And the jumping and slo-mo are back for some strange reason.

I watched most of the first episode. The guys on the show clearly don't know what an aquifer is, a semi-permeable layer of rock kinda like a sponge that acts as a natural filter for groundwater. No human can pass through that, because not even dirt can. What they crawled through was a small cave opening.

Also, it seems Panis Rahl is a nice guy now! Who knew?

Actually, they gave the date when she left the Sisters Of The Light to join Jagang, plus the 100 years she spent at the Palace Of The Prophets where they do age, just really slowly. She's been Deaths Mistress for yes, quite long and does appear quite a few years Richard's senior. Doesn't stop her from being hot, she's just a bit older. It's in the same book that has her as a child and the whole overview of her life in the first half.

Or if you want it drawn out, in Stone Of Tears Sister Annalina left the Palace Of The Prophets in search of Richard but because prophecy said he was born by the time she found him he was 19 years old. Annalina herself said that some of her sisters (including Nicci) were now sisters of the dark and left to join the Order when she was just a student at the palace.

Nicci didn't get the moniker of "Death's Mistress" until after she was enslaved by Jagang and started leading his armies into the Midlands. Jolene is too old, plain and simple. And not just because book Nicci is supposed to be in her early 20s.

One of the signatures of the show is bad acting and cheesy stories, which is what Raimi is most lauded for. Anyone who doesn't fall in line is making the show look bad.

WOW, what a way to start off the season. I can tell already this will blow the first one away...and I really enjoyed the first one. The addition of the new character seems like it'll create a lot of interesting conflict between characters personalities.

Also, the beard is nice. Much improved look for Richard.

Can't wait!! I think the plot for this season seems really facinating and more dangerous.

Decent Episode. C Carpenter was the weak link for me. She didn't seem to have what it takes to even become a Mord Sith let alone lead any of them. I'm glad it's back on air. I was going into Kahlan withdraw.

Thought the first season was ok.

LOVED the first episode of season two. Can't wait for the next one.

Awesome first ep... Cara's my favorite in the books, and it looks like it'll be the same here. I love how she already said he wouldn't be able to get along without her, and they just met. :hehe:

Richard needs to unite the D'Haran forces quick though... I didn't care for the treasonous Mord-Sith.

Seems the bond doesnt play any part. I liked when they did the chant except they changed the "Father Rahl" to "Master Rahl" ... or did I hear it wrong. Also, compelte waste of General Trimeck.

The devotion has always been to "Master Rahl". I didn't like that they cut it short either :(

"Master Rahl guide us. Master Rahl teach us. Master Rahl protect us.
In your light we thrive. In your mercy we are sheltered. In your wisdom we are humbled.
We live only to serve. Our lives are yours."

They cut out like half of it.

They certainly are letting them kill a bit more graphically.

And Cara officially kicks more ass than Kahlan! The whole Banelings thing is creepy.

And please stop with the jumping Richard. It looks so stupid.

They did turn up the violence a bit which is cool. I accept that it'll never be as brutal as the books, but that was a nice taste ... though you never "see" the sword cut anything or get bloody.

That little kid at the end creeped me out. I wonder if he'll be a reoccurring character.

It doesn't feel right hearing Cara call Richard by his name... I wish she'd call him "Lord Rahl".

I think she only said his name like 4 times in the entire series.

They finally put the season premiere up on Hulu!

Boo Regan, Yay whoever plays Cara! J/k sort of.

The new episode with Cara's backstory played out fairly obviously except for one reveal, but man, I felt for her father just the idea how he was finally shut-up. Ouch. Though I hope Cara doesn't become something different because of the truth they revealed.

Another good episode. Kahlan + Cara = good ol wholesome eye candy.

Probably not...I got the impression is was just to show us that anyone could be a Baneling...that anyone would be willing to make "The deal" even a child.

But I could be totally wrong, as i've never read the books. :)

Read the books and you'll like her even more. She's my favorite in the entire series.

I've thought about reading them for awhile, but I have to finish my reread of The Wheel of Time first.

Just know that the TV series is a Big departure from the books before you get in...
