I liked it. Good start, and I will keep watching it for now. It's pretty derivative, but I generally liked the performers. And the cast is very attractive .

that's the problem ONE he is suppose to be his friend and mentor from his childhood up, it changes their dynamic, i'm just not sure how it will play out, better or worse than the book formula

I might start reading the books when I'm done with the book I'm reading now.

Judging from the first 2 episodes, it seems they tone down a lot of the book's graphic content. Too bad it's not an HBO series, then we'd probably get much more appropriate sex and violence like True Blood .

From what I have read on the series and having read the books quite a few times, I can say they have made some fundamental changes to the story line and relationships. So much so that I wonder if there will be any link at all to the story line in the later books.

It is unfortunate.

Can anyone tell me why Kahlan turned back into her white Confessor outfit at the end? And when she had the time to do it? Her second outfit looked much more practical for a fight, besides all the low-cut cleavage baring which should always stay .

I hope so too but I still do not kbnow how he can end up doing what he does in the last book based on how they have started him out for this first one.

I am not going to spoil it for others but the fight against Darken Rahl is not the only fight he will have on his hands.

Having read all but the last book of the series...which I started reading when I was in HS...it has to do with who Richard will become....I'll leave it at that

Well new episode tonight can't wait, been re reading the first one and still don't see why they had to make the changes. The book kept a good pace and really built on richard and kaylan, show is still good though.

I liked the episode this week. Have to say, the girls in this show are really stunning .

I like all the characters in this show generally. Ted Raimi guest appearance this week was cool. Strong moral and theme. Zedd's becoming one of my favorite characters. At first I was afraid he would end up being too much like Gandalf or Obi-Wan Kenobi, but he has his own little, unique flair.

I haven't read the books this is based upon....but the show is pretty cool so far. It's nice to see Bruce Spence as the wizard.
