What do you think the taglines could/should be for The Dark Knight, ive seen a few on the artwork such as Not all Jokes are funny. Anymore youve seen or come up with?

I like what Nolan said about TDK:

THINGS HAVE TO GET WORSE, BEFORE THEY GET BETTER

or something like that.

The tagline will likely have to do with Batman considering the title of the movie is "The Dark Knight". Instead of a competely Batman tagline, I could also see them giving us a line that will outline what the sequel will be about in the most subtle away (the quote Frank Noir gave you.)

I don't see WB or Nolan giving us a completely wholesome Joker line however. Im thinking more along the lines of escalation which from what I've heard, is the main focus of the sequel.

I don't know where it came from originally, but I've always loved the "When the darkness falls, the Knight will rise".

Eh. A little cheesy.

I'm a simple guy...I'd like one word at the top of the poster:

Escalation.

Or "I believe in Gotham City"

Which was the VERY first line in The Long Halloween.

Yeah. And maybe if they go with character posters, each would have they're own line. Joker could have something like... "I believe in chaos". Or not. Lol.

I like the idea of seperate character taglines/posters and trailers, similar to the Matrix Reloaded and Batman Returns.

"Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni! Ni!"

or

"'tis but a scratch!"

or, more seriously,

"One bad day..." :ninja:

SERIOUSLY, IF YOUR TALKING VOICES...A GOOD THING For a trailer would be in the middle of it to be very tension filled, looking something very dire is going to happen, and

alfred voice over
"2 choices there always are...the choice to do...what you want...and the choice to do...what is right.

que action montage

Is escalation an indication of liberation?

Gotham. A great city... for the criminally insane.

Batman, the Joke(r) is on you.

For the Jokers poster:

His jokes aren't funny. They're deadly.

The Jokers tagline really should be "Its Rude To Stare" I love that line.

IMO they souldn't be a tagline. I don't like the idea of summarizing a film with a simple sentence. There were no tagline for BB so I don't want taglines for TDK.
