The Dark Knight by a mile.

I wish this thread had a poll just to see TDK severely dominating Spider-Man 2.

tdk without a doubt i was never a big fan of what they did with the spider-man movies

For the drama - TDK

For the action, comic book stuff - Spider-man 2

I find it a tough call. We get a helluva lot more characterization of the main and supporting characters in TDK plus a more dramatic and believable story arc than in any of the Spidey flicks, but the flick is rather depressing and gloomy.

Spider-man 2, while it has more two-dimensional characters, it flows a lot faster and has a more upbeat and enjoyable air to it. Plus, in broader terms, SM-2 and TDK do have a similar subplot about the heroes considering throwing in the towel and let their city take care of itself so to speak. But even TDK can't beat that excellent runaway train sequence in SM-2 in terms of action and pure spectacle.

But I give TDK the edge. The Joker is more threatening than Doc Ock and again, a stronger character-driven storyline and well-rounded characters.

Ledger's Joker alone is better than all of Spider-Man 2. Add in great performances by Eckhart and Oldman as well as solid acting from everyone else involved, brilliant plot elements from the Joker, and some great action scenes...and it's really not even close.

Not trying to bash but I guess I am off-topic.

I used to actually be a big Spider-Man fan, but why is Spider-Man 2 so highly rated? I actually thought the first one was better

IMO... Spider-man 2 was extremely over-rated!

TDK take you on this wild ride of emotions...

Spider-man 2 is a schmaltzy, OTT GCI mess -

So I guess The Dark Knight wins for me.

Where's the poll? And putting this on Batman's boards is gonna wield bias results......

I agree with a lot of you in here that they are going for a different feel in each one so its hard to compare them. I really enjoyed Spider-Man 2, its probably up there in my top 5 favorites. I don't like to say I am biased, but thats really what it is because I'm a bigger fan of DC and the Batman character. That being said, I think Spider-Man 2 is better than the older 4 Bat movies, but TDK takes the cake with me. Its my all time favorite comic book movie. At this moment, probably my favorite movie in general.

I'm go ahead be biased, The Dark Knight is the greatest movie ever made. I like Spidey 1 & 2.

I know they are very different, but just tell us your opinion.

not really, i see where your coming from but no matter what their both hero movies of Good Vs. Evil, hero has major conflicts in life , and Dark Knight DESTROYS spider-man 2

Ledger's Joker alone is better than all of Spider-Man 2. Add in great performances by Eckhart and Oldman as well as solid acting from everyone else involved, brilliant plot elements from the Joker, and some great action scenes...and it's really not even close.

Joker alone was better than all 3 Spider-man movies combined

I think Spider-man 2 can still be considered a Classic, remember when this movie first came out we were saying the same things that were saying about the DarK knight. level wise TDK is higher and strives for more, But Spidey 2 was perfect for what it was going at. Cant compare the two,...its tooo......hard

Ummm.,,, no Spider-man 2 is nowhere near a classic or perfect

The Dark Knight. I liked both Spider Man 1 and 2, but I think 1 was better. TDK blows both of them away.

I didn't like Spider-man 2 the first time I watched it, 2nd viewing in IMAX was better; the extended cut I loved, but for me 3 destroys the series. SM3 was just so heart-breaking I haven't watched 1 or 2 since opening day of SM3. :(

That being said even if SM3 hadn't existed TDK wins easily over Spider-man. By miles!

Spiderman 2 just the more enjoyable movie for me same for Iron Man.

I like Spider-Man, but the movies keep disappointing me. I didn't like SM2 actually. I LOVED TDK
