Of course he honed his skills on being kidnapped taken all the time. He has a particular set of skills, after all, that make him a nightmare to people like Eastern European kidnappers takers.

Shows like this never last past a season, two tops, because they are about a very specific thing with a very specific objective. Its a revenge story, if he doesnt get his revenge by season two people are gonna lose interest. Shows like this where they dangle the carrot in front of the audience for too long usually dont last.

Might work if they allow him a little leeway so every week isn't about a new mission but him getting on with life and reacting to events around him.
So we see him react like he does in the movie where he tries to be the better man and gets into trouble because he doesn't care for the violence around him and tries to be the peacemaker except the idiots think he's weak and he has to demonstrate why that is a VERY bad idea!!!

his sister was taken and killed in front of him in the show so some was taken ain alot of ways. as my own told this is the more violent version of CBS's ransom mostly Canadian actors but one of them is know for doing state side shows like grace land and many more before( he the biracial actor that's the profiler ofthe show ) that currently airing for us in north america.

where the hostage negotiator and his team does ever thing possible to solve the problem starting with the none violent approach first. this guy in taken goes to the silent but deadly approach.

yeah the same could have been said about prison brake and every season though they escaped after season 2 they were back in prison in some form , almost each other season fallowing. by this logic it shouldn't have lasted as long as it did cause it was too limiting in both title and idea's and yet they managed to do it.

the only thing that can and go wrong with his is if they have some weird story flubb like what happened in Grimm in his personal life then it'll b be dead cause the network producers will try to kill it by putting it on bad night and time. cause of poor Chose via the writers with the protagonist.

it's on good night and if they manage to do what prison break did it's do surprising fine. if not then yeah the same thing that's happening with Grimm will happen to this if not earlier, it'll depend on the execution of the story here.

And I agree they better end the "he needs his revenge" soon too. don't do what the mentalist did please don't do that. NBC's audience doesn't stand for that.

whelp he got his vengeance after his girl wass kid napped and her throat got cut inform of him and when he finally got the bad guy he was gunning this entire season he was taken way like jack Bauer in 24 cause he tick off another country when he did with their solder face to face with their show down.

It was interesting see. I only missed one episode and it was as boring as other though. but I guess Iwas the only one watching from the hype. Even if it was the day after it aired via fiber wire play back .

“Taken” has been renewed for Season 2 at NBC, Variety has learned.


Executive producer Alexander Cary is departing the show, and a new showrunner is expected to be named shortly.


The second season will consist of 16 hour-long episodes.

lol that's interesting so people out side of the hype were watching and they couldn't leave this series like they did 24 with jack being taken a way. this happened with Brian inthis series after getting his vengeance and what happen to his current girlfriend. lol I'm sure the tv audience couldn't have that again. it's like that dangler with the Dungeon and dragons the animated /cartoon series , that was never resolved with those kids ever getting home and defeating the villain of the series.


It's just wrong to have that dangling. We'll see if the second season is good though. Hopefully it doesn't flop with that.

Famke janssen can NEVER be replaced

It's not about being replaced. It's a prequel to the movies.

Much like Sophie Turner will grow into Famke's Jean, the same applies to whoever is cast as Lenor.

It was advertised as before the movies & with Bryan learning those skill but Bryan already knows those skills so who knows but he has not met Lenore yet

actually when he was in montreal (on mission with inthe show, where he was kidnapped after acting as a decoy for his team to escape) with the ODNI team and the first time he showed up at their HQ after his younger sister was killed they showed the others training him.

Beside's shooting he didn't have all the trade craft skills like how to handle being interrogated and the art of Escapism. til they came to rescue him from who has him .

Also the thing that's slightly different for now is that the movies strickly said Brian was formerly CIA. Here Brian works for the ODNI the Office of the director of National intelligence.

which is above even the CIA director and the other 15 intelligence agency's and certain departments in the united states that do intelligence / espionage work and they report to besides the president's national security advisor and the sect of state or homeland security. The latter of which over see's most of the domestic parts like the FBI Depending on the situation.
