Taken (Prequel)

It's not about being replaced. It's a prequel to the movies.

Much like Sophie Turner will grow into Famke's Jean, the same applies to whoever is cast as Lenor.

Hmmm i hear what you saying but bc Famke Janssen is so talented anyone who shares a role with her will be terrible in comparison. Its true. Famke is too talented

‘Taken’ Cast Members Exit Amid Season 2 Shift

Six cast members are exiting NBC drama “Taken” as part of an overhaul for the series’ second season.

Gaius Charles, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Michael Irby, Jose Pablo Cantillo, and James Landry Hébertwill have left the series. The departures comes as Greg Plageman takes over as showrunner for the series and begins implementing a new vision for its second season.

Former showrunner Alexander Cary departed the series when it was renewed for a second season on NBC in May. “Taken”serves as a prequel to the hit action film franchise of the same name that starred Liam Neeson, with “Vikings” star Clive Standen taking over the role of former Green Beret Bryan Mills. After a personal tragedy leaves him badly shaken, Mills is recruited by the CIA, with each mission helping him build up the “very particular set of skills” that enthralled fans of the film series.

Hmm if Greg Plageman (Executive Producer on Person of Interest) is involved then I might have to give this a shot again.

That's a shame -- I thought all 6 of those team members were terrific!

Interestingly, the character of RILEY is not listed as leaving the show, even though she is the wife of departing show runner Cary!

2nd season started on Friday. I'm assuming the move to Friday is because it will be the last season.

I watched the premiere because Greg Plageman and other Person of Interest writers are working on it. It wasn't good.

Looking at my old comments I did not like the first season but did like the teammates who seemed to be Bryan's movie golf playing partners. But I had time so caught up on the second season premiere. It was okay, something I will catch up on midweek as I do with Hawaii 5-0. For the Friday death time slot it has the one show on the air that I am catching live, the Agents of SHIELD and two shows that I may keep up with.

So the reboot of the preboot now looks more like a mean version of the MacGyver reboot than The Brave with a dark haired boss that it started out as. It does seem like NBC always wanted The Brave but Taken came in first. The plot armor is strong with Bryan and it seems as now his team can deal with domestic crime along with foreign terrorist and military spy strikes that The Brave should be restricted to.

Whoa, the rest of the Person Of Interest writing crew is on this?

Seems like a...bit of a step down, haha.

Taken gets taken. Off the air.

Taken | The reboot of the Liam Neeson film starring Clive Standen and Jennifer Beals got the hook midway through its second run. The prequel series — which featured a new showrunner for season two — returned in January to less than 3 million total viewers and a 0.5 in the adults 18-49 demographic. The remaining episodes will be taken to Saturdays after the May sweep.
