The Dark Knight TDK Action Scene Description...

Well we know the bit about the tapes is true for sure, from the Empire interview

I think these would make great promotional material. Even if a tv spot was a cam on a track slowly moving in to Heath on a throne like in the 1st appearence of Joker from the comic. Random chatter in the background "No prints, no id , Who is this guy ?" etc . Then just as the camera gets close Just hit black and bring up the title.

Jett was wrong. The so called "hot dog" stunt was successfully performed in Chicago... fyi, jett is a bag of *****e.

Haha, no quarrels there. Although the stunt performers looked very SWAT-like rather than Joker goons

I'm so glad.. after watching that video the stunt looks so awesome

yeah. but they could be goons in like work coveralls. i just watched it again. one had a whitish face. which could be a clown mask.

...furthermore, why would a stunt crew practice such a dangerous stunt on a completely different building, in an area with different climate...only to reproduce it half way around the world...they would practice the stunt in Hong Kong if it was a HK stunt not in chicago...it's non-sensical.

Jett=*****e

well yeah, jett is equal to *****e. and yes, i agree. consider this, the building they "practiced" the stunt on was under construction. looked like a parking garage. the side of the hospital looked like a parking garage (it was a converted parking garage). so is it just a coincidence that the two buildings could double for each other?

...also, forgot to mention that the infamous "hot dog" fight scene took place in an abandoned building. The fight between Batman and the Clown goons is in an abandoned building...then Bats throws them out...

Attikus

hmm. interesting. any idea how this fits into the plot?

Been trying to get my hands on the script for 6 months!!!! But it's a classic Batman vs goon throwdown that was par for the course during Batman's comic book run in the 1970's. And to those that thought Joker threw those guys off the building. Ask yourself this question? Would the joker have used a rope to tie the guys up and then throw them off or would he just throw them off without a rope?

The answer is pretty simple!

What's Batman's number one rule?

Attikus

well, i think the idea was it was a stunt team that came in on a rope or something and then joker threw one of them out the window. but i don't know. i like the batman/goon idea more.

I truly hope that stunt wasn't cut. They wrote it in, even practiced the stunt, no use cutting it at the last second.

I have a feeling Nolan isn't exactly going to set the bar high with his action scenes, so the more spectacular stunts there are, they should keep it. TDK is coming in the summer after all, audiences expect lots of thrill.

I've been starting to accept the gash, due to some characteristic issues. The only problems with this film I have right now is whether or not he's permawhite, which is yet to be announced, and the neck/chest of the new batsuit.

Everything else is fine with me so far.

Like i said ! The Joker ... HE JUST IS !

hahahahaha

Had to do it

Don't force it, dude. Nothin wrong with being gay :)

Haha, you think that's funny? Well, here's something funnier. I was supposed to post that reply in the "Are you happy so far?" thread. Bwahahaha!

LOL! Hahahahahahahahahahaha! Silly Judson :D

Hope this is true. I'm gonna quote you on this on another forum. If it turns out you're lying.......there's gonna be heck to pay. Heck I tell ya!

I just hope The Joker in the nurses outfit gets the right response and not something that is jokey to the audience. People REALLY need to be disturbed by this character and feel he is out of his mind.

Overall I'm loving the direction that this film is taking.

I think a little bit of wee came out I'm so excited...

Nope, just some juice, we're cool...

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!

Finally, the Joker sends creepy video recordings of himself to the news (much Like Osama's tapes) and these are broadcast on the evening news for all of Gotham's citizens to see. The Joker's goal is to destroy Gotham and bring Batman to his knees....

Attikus

I like that the Joker sends in the videotapes to the media for broadcast, rather than using the classic, yet credulity-straining ability of the Joker to somehow hijack all television stations, radio frequencies, etc. It's more realistic and just as effective.

Are you kidding me????

"When you see the make-up -- he looks like he's mentally gone. He puts the make-up on to disguise himself and then goes and never takes it off again, or washes, so gradually it looks like leprosy." -- Michael Caine

I will say this, maybe I will get banned or something for saying that but: everyone who thinks that the Joker is permawhite in TDK is an IDIOT.

Joker's Jihad. That is an interesting and modern take on the character.
