The Dark Knight TDK Casting Sides

The boy from the Narrows will be the same age though.

These script fragments have checked so many things off my wanted list, its like they read my mind.

I like the bit where Natasha suggests Dent might be Batman (and Dent's dialogue there was top notch).
Hmm? Where was this?

this really looks like it's pushing the PG13 limits (cop blowing some thugs knees out)
Jack Bauer should soooo make a cameo for this one scene. :o

Tony Soprano is Maroni and Fergie is his mistress.

Okay, I've looked over the names and got a list of the real important ones. Ignore most of the dialogue and characters, especially those like Grumpy/Chuckles (they're bit parts, nothing to do with the main characters)...

The Chief - Gordon, without question (His son is called James, for crying out loud!)

The Prosecutor/Gannon - Dent (and possibly Rachel)

The Avenger - guess who? :yay:

Kennedy - Wayne?

Faulkner - Unknown (but HAS been cast)

Maroni - NOT mentioned in casting sheets - ALREADY cast.

The Prisoner/VOICE - Joker?

Heh, I try. ;)

I think that totally works. I mean, I wanted SOMEONE from The Sopranos to be in a Batman movie, and Nolan gets the big dog TONY SOPRANO!

Keep in mind: this is still only speculation.

anyone else take notice like me at the page numbers? we can basically figure out when things like this go down.

(I'm a film major = screenplay = 1 page = 1 minute of screentime)

Then a lot of these must be quite short scenes???? Can anyone recommend a movie that has a scene of a bank manager talking to a bank robber but you can't really see the robber? I'm gonna make a teaser based on that scene.

Earrmm... could anyone tell me which are the Natascha, Mistress and Judge Salizar scenes?

Chuckles might be Joker as well.

Nah, casting sides are for BOTH Chuckles/Grumpy - If it was just one of the roles, why lump them together. It could be you're right, or it's just as likely this is a 30 second scene with 2 bit parts.

Chuckles might be Joker as well.

Why would they be casting Joker? Chuckles is a henchman of the Joker, as is Grumpy. Of course, they're not henchmen in the tradional sense, but more likely hired thugs who barely know who they're working for.

The Showfax roles are all bit parts, so we can't really assume Maroni is cast already.

They are two parts - the guy who auditioned for the one who gets shot auditioned with another guy as the shooter.

Damn, I have so many thoughts about these sides but I'm too damn exhausted to put them all together - so, I'll say the most prominent thing on my mind: This film seems to be ten times better than what I was expecting. And my expectations were not low. :hyper:

That's what I was worried about, you'd have to be insane to work for the Joker, so henchmen didn't make sense to me. They've thought of everything

Also, I doubt the Junkie is Scarecrow like some people think. It sounds like they're casting for him, and the role really doesn't fit what i'd expect of him coming back. They could do more with him. It sounds like it's just some random junkie or someone who's been fear-gassed.

meh, could be Nolan's way of knowing we'd find this and throwing us off. Film makers have people read for parts all the time knowing they're not gonna get it. but base their acting skill off their delivery and give them other roles. Theres really no differance between Thug #2 and Thug #8. But chuckles seems to be airing out the bad apple in the crew.

i'm happy that we got this rather than the lr script review...we know a few scenes from the movie but can't be sure about whats happening in them. i like it like that.

this is the best couple of hours i have ever spent on shh.

and i think now once and for all, everyone can rest assured that this film is going to piss on batman begins.

Batman Begins was only the beginning. . . .

I agree wikum. Begins will be shyt compared to this.

True, but the fact they're casting the little roles makes me think the bigger roles have all been cast / near cast.

I still don't think Gandolfini is Maroni - it might be that Alan Dale rumour (him from 'Ugly Betty').
