The Dark Knight TDK Casting Sides

Infact Jett shoots himself in the foot all the time.. if he just kept his mouth shut and reported the facts, do you really think he would still get the negative feed back he gets?

Its self inflicted.

meh, not so much, he reports what he hears. If you knew people in Hollywood and they said "Yeah so and so is rumored for Dent" say it was the Jaimie Foxx rumor. Would u not run here and put it up too? Anyone who says they wouldn't is lying and they know it. A legit hollywood person says something, you know u'd buy into it. Hell for all we know, Jaimie foxx could have had a pen in his hand waiting to sign the deal and our outcry kept the WB from giving it to him. Theres a lot of things that go on in Hollywood that they don't tell us about. I believe in Jett and that his sources have some backing. Weather or not they make it into the film is irrelevant.

i double posted by accident, i posted a response from another thread in this one by mistake. It was too late by the time I edited it. Another debate was underway.

So does anyone know anything about when or where casting is going to be held in Chicago?

not to mention the credit for Barbara Gordan was for an adult actress by the name of Ilyssa Fradin.

What's that got to do with anything? Barbara Gordon (with an "o", man), is Jim's wife. In Year One and the Loeb/Sale books, Jim had a wife, Barbara, and a infant son James. It only makes sense that since these movies are following that basic continuity (post-crisis), that if we see an infant son with Jim's wife Barbara, we can assume it's baby James.

And if you're wondering, Babs Gordon (batgirl) is Jim's neice, and possible biological daughter. In other words, Jim slept with his brother's wife.

lol Katsuro, that doesn't mean they can't take some artistic liberties with the stuff. Gordon has a young son. As long as he isn't like 20 something, I think it's allowable.

Ok I'm saving these and I also want to put down a list of all of the codenames and who they are in the real movie. Can sombody please clear this up for me?

AWESOME!

What I wanna figure out is who Rossi is? Is he just a no-name henchman for Maroni? It seems like he isn't because he says he is the brains of the outfit. So does that mean Rossi is an equal partner to Maroni? Who could he be then? Perhaps Roman Sionis?

It seems he is just taking the fall for Maroni.

All of those sides looked awesome! Thx Miranda, I owe you one. :woot:

Okay, another thing:

Natascha sure is wordy for a random floosie. Perhaps Natascha isn't Natascha at all? And maybe, just maybe, her words against vigilantism are a ploy to avoid any incrimination, similar to "A guy who dresses up like a bat" on Bruce's part in BB?

Anyone know where I'm going with this one? Huh? ;)

Thanks to Miranda, this is the most mouth-watering thread I've ever seen on the hype.

Quit *****-footing around and just say it :yay:

She's just as self-righteous sounding this time too, Maggie will probably handle it better but I hope they turn it down. "This is a democray, is it not?" Pretty stiff dinner party

I agree completely. Perhaps my wording was a little off - I just meant, while I agree some of the dialogue wasn't super awesome, it wasn't anywhere near awful. Perhaps the worst I could say is that it seemed a tad Goyerish - and by that, a little clunky. Hardly a major issue and seeing as how this is likely an early draft, probably won't be an issue in TDK.

I love everything I've read - look at the mayem the Joker is causing! They've had to bring in National Guard, for god's sake! If that's not the Joker setting himself up as the best damn villian ever, I don't know what is.

I dunno, the dialogue felt pretty straight to the point to me, there wasn´t stuff I´d call Goldsmanesque or anything, and some of it is pretty smart, especially the exchange on vigilantism. Some of it is plain, but it´s meant to be plain, it´s street thugs and drug dealers talking and stuff.

Yea, the Gannon scene dialogue is pretty on the nose too. Is there a chance this stuff is taken from Goyer's 30 page treatment? Page numbers don't go above 22 apart from one. Just feels like it has his fingerprints on it in places.

Not too worried though, The Prestige screenplay was superb

It may sound a bit scripted - then again a lot of things do before the actors take it off the page and deliver it - but it´s an intelligent argument, and yet evidence that Nolan keeps it real. Plus it´s an exchange between a district attorney and someone presumably in a similar position, people like that can sound more formal than most, especially in a serious discussion.

^If Ra's is watching, I'm sure he's very disappointed in Bruce. Perhaps he could pay Gotham another visit in the next installment. :ninja:

If you always think about the vomit-inducing dialogue during the love scenes in Attack of the Clones, you'll find a HUGE apprecation for average dialogue. :woot:

This movie is gonna be so bad-a$$!!!

my assumption was that Rossi was either a placeholder name or just a nobody being a dick on the stand. he isn't the brains; he may have gave Maroni away, but now he grew some balls on the stand and won't say what it is that the prosecutor called him to the stand to say.

I'm kinda disappointed. In my opinion the dialogue for the most part seems like garbage. Meh.

I'd have to agree :csad: I'm feeling exactly the same way as after reading Goyer's draft of Begins. The characters may as well look into camera and explain what function they're supposed to serve. "Hi my names Ra's, I'm the surrogate father/mentor of Bruce that tries to put him on a vengeful path, thereby solidifying Bruce's resolve and giving him purpose". Where's the subtlety? The Prestige didn't hammer us over the head like this dialogue.

All the ideas are great though.

I'll admit some of the dialogue is clunky, but if you actually examine the lines in Batman Begins, alot of it is similiar and BB turned out great. The Nolan's aren't the best at dialogue but the set pieces etc more than make up for it.

And there are a few good lines in there.
