The Dark Knight TDK Casting Sides

^ It a small treat for internet fans who are getting nothing, Nolan must know how annoying his secrecy must be. It's not supposed to be promotion for a wider audience, and it's not like it's a massive task or anything. If they did it it's because they were having fun with it.

A teaser might not have a decent Joker shot in it, maybe December will be the full reveal but I admit it seems a little late.

I think I found a message in those sides from the beginning of the month. Weird. Not sure what it means. Crazy tho

hmm, this was the side that was released separately from the first batch wasnt it? the last one whose authenticity is still in question?

i always found this side to be a little "off", something about it felt different from the rest of the other sides. that's why i kept questioning its structure, if any markers were out of place etc?

now i think here's proof that its a fake.

real sharp there Saginaw. btw, am i the only one who got goose bumps reading the subliminal message?

 But it was obviously an April Fools joke. Only very special few could beleive that it was real and they're no one to be bothered with....

The winds of popular perception are laced with the spores of ignorance.

I just can't imagine that WB would want anything of such poor quality to be associated with their upcoming blockbuster, even in an abstract fashion.

*wipes tear from eye*

That's beautiful, man.

I agree with your point, btw. Can't imagine WB being associated with something so shoddy.

Except....

There is evidence of shoddiness on their part previously.

Unless it's an CLEARLY an April Fools joke, that only dedicated internet fans will see.

Do YOU have lowered expectations of the film because of one jokey side? Do you think anyone really does?

Nice line btw. I'm breathing spores. yiah

Damn I cant believe I missed this entire thread:eek: :(

After looking over the sides some more, I've got a couple comments:

Does anyone else think Detective Wuertz is Flass? It certainly seems to go with Flass' apathetic/corrupt attitude that he just looks up bored when the bartender mentions the mall that got blown up and says "it's my day off".

And when the captured thug is saying "the Boss told us he'd make the voices go away...he'd go inside and make it bright lights, like Christmas", the guy is definitely suffering from the fear toxin, but do you think "the boss" is Scarecrow or Joker? My first thought was Scarecrow, but it could be Joker too.

The cop who blows out the thug's knees definitely sounds like Harvey Bullock.

Flass went looney tunes in the last movie remember. Cant be him.

It could be him: as a police officer he would likely be amongst the first to recieve treatment, so he could rejoin the effort to pacify the narrows. I rather expect that it is him.

have the sides been wiped clean from the interweb? :csad:

can someone post the dialogue from the chuckles side? ive heard something that makes me want to read it

I remember hearing this around the same time I heard the rumour that had Alfred donning the bat-suit. It'll be interesting to see how this ties in, if it does at all.

Speaking of which, has anyone actually been able to confirm whether or not the April Fool's sides were B.S. or not?

I didn't think it needed confirmation. Have you read it?

Seems more like Batman to me, interrogating about Jokers past and crunching kneecaps with his boot.

The 'unscrew your brain' is definitely Scarecrow.

my apologies if this has already been discussed, but i was thinking about the two sides regarding the ferrys that have apparently been wired with explosive by the joker. and that each ferry apparently has the detonator for the other ferry. it seems to me that

a)either the joker actually gave each ferry its own detonator and told them it belonged to the other ferry, so that they will be blowing themselves up or

b) that each detonator will actually blow up both ferrys or

c) neither detonator works and joker blows them both up later or

d) neither detonator works and the whole thing is just a distraction from something else

just an idea.

Hope Mistress and Natascha are hot... this movie needs some hot chicks in it. :p

Christian Bale is playing Batman, and Cillian Murphy is playing Scarecrow, so I see no reason why they'd put out sides casting these parts.

I really dont see the Scarecrow thing, either. Some Junkie talking crazy could just as easily be any random guy who got fear-gassed. In fact, it's a billion times more likely, considereing the contents of the side.

I figured the side was for casting the Thug and the junkie respectively, not the cop and the bodyguard

I think it would be very strange for the fear gas to feature without Scarecrow in the same scene. They go together. If the Scarecrow is a lackey to the Joker then the term 'Bodyguard' also makes a bit of sense, and the dialogue sounds particularly Crane-ish, a crazy psychiatrist.

EDIT: okay just checked and all four names are in the side description so you're probably right.
