Did a little snooping and found out that the fighting style that was used in Batman Begins -Keysi- will once again be used in TDK.Total Combat Academy says their instructors will be back working on Keysi and ThatStuntGuy (who worked on MI3) from the keysikfm.com forums claims it will be combined with another style.

From keysikfm.com and Total Combat Academy:

We are George and Mandy Johnston and we run a martial arts academy specialising in the incredible Keysi Fighting Method...check out our website which is www.totalcombatacademy.co.uk. We are the only full-time academy in Scotland which specialises in this lethal self defence system. We have previously done Jeet Kune Do,Kali,Indonesian Silat,Brazilian Jiu Jitsu,Tae Kwon Do amongst other things. We have been instructors in Keysi for nearly 6 years, our instructors are Andy Norman and Justo Dieguez, check them out in the video below. They recently done the fight scenes for Batman Begins and some in Mission Impossible 3. They start the second Batman flick "The Dark Knight" sometime next year.
Hey There Everyone
Yes, KFM will be used in the sequel. Jeet Kune Do will also be filtered in as well to help make the Fight Choreography a lil easier and safer.

Interesting point, we´ll see what other martial art will be used with keysi, but above all, i hope they film the fight scenes differently, i didnt really knew what was happening, it was the only flaw in BB, cause the overall product was superb

Keysi was great fighting style for Batman, I'm glad style is back in TDK.

Jeet Kune Do is the other style that will used apparently. Thats a quite brutal combination.

Agreed.

Batman is gonna be br00tal this time around!

it was brutal the first time around, just the filming of it wasn't too hot. really, look at the behind the scenes dvd, it looks GREAT when you can see what was going on.

I loved the way they filmed the fight scenes. In a real fight everything is moving that fast

in real life you can not fly with a cape.

so lets stop with this realistic bull****. it made zero sense that we saw nothing in the train.

Great find Retro, happy that Jeet Kun Do will be used aswell with KFM:up:

This is good news, the KFM looks brutal and with JKD it will be a great combination. But if they shoot and cut the fights as they did in begins, then they might as well put a bunch of clowns dancing around and it woudn't matter because we won't be able to understand half of what's going on.

what about the logo in this jacket? batman beyond, right?

I KNEW they would. I mean, The Jeet Kune Do is known as one of the most pratical fighting styles in the world. No unnecessay screaming, punching or kicking, just swift blows and kicks to take down your opponent without hurting yourself in the process.

It doesn't matter what style Batman uses if Nolan uses the shaky cam with super-quick editing. :down

Great to see Keysi coming back. I'm not too familiar with Jeet Kune Do. I'm a BJJ man myself, but can't wait to see Bat's breaking bones, left right and center.

I hope we get to actually see the fight.. its all good being right in the action, but i would like to see what he is doing as well.

What about the logo in that guy's skin? Batman Forever, right?
It must be a total geekgasm for a batfan to be able to see Bale dressed as Bats in person and visit the sets. To be paid to do his job (Keysi fighting) while doing that, would be like heaven.:word::up:

I know! Lucky bastards. ;)

Jeet Kune Do? F'n sweet.

Keysi? Eh, not too excited about it...

I liked the fighting style... it was pretty raw/hardcore. I have the SE DVD of Batman Begins, and you see the stuntmen at work - pretty good stuff. I have to admit though, the filming of the fight scenes wasn't the best (that is... if in fact Nolan & Co. wanted you to see every single move/blow in the fight)

Who knows, maybe Joker & Bats will have a showdown fight in TDK (although, I don't know what kind of physical challenge the Clown Prince presents against The Dark Knight - maybe if he cheats and hinders Batman by disorienting him with some weird gas or something, or maybe he has some "skillz" himself) and we can see Batman using the keysi fighting techniques to tax that Joker arse!

How about the joker using weapons of his own like knives sledgehammers crowbars oh and maybe having someskills like he did on his first appearence in the comics. Atleast taking batman by surprise the first time around.
