From AICN, Quint (Funnier than Harry, 2nd best reviewer on the site, after Moriarty...)

Jonathan was the guy who wrote the short story that Christopher turned into MEMENTO and has co-scripted THE PRESTIGE and the upcoming DARK KNIGHT with his brother. Actually, if my information is correct, I think Jonathan is the sole screenwriter on DARK KNIGHT, which I hear is a helluva script, although I haven't been able to get my hands on it... yet...

Hmmm, okay. So now Quint is hinting he may provide a script review.

The plot thickens... :p

Story by:
David Goyer, Christopher and Jonathan Nolan
Screenplay by:
Jonathan Nolan.
Sounds good.
About the review? seeing is believing.

Thought that was pretty common knowledge

It's more the fact that Quint (a slightly more reliable source than most) has heard VERY good things about the script, and has gone on record to say he's activelt trying to get the script.

So true.

Moriarty is the only worthwhile reviewer over there and gave the most interesting perspective and the best review of 'Batman Begins' than anyone else including the national reviewers.

Speaking of Jonah, although not exactly TDK related, he is on a roll. Just wanted to share this:

Raiders of the Dark Knight

Two divine brains sharing the same vision? Nice.

Jonah Nolan – Chris’s brother and the writer of “The Dark Knight” – and Steven Spielberg - he’s the guy with the beard that did the alien movie with the bikes - are teaming for "Interstellar," a space adventure that’s set up over at Paramount.

Nolan’s penning the screenplay for Spielberg to direct.

According to Variety, a scientific theory by Kip S. Thorne, a Caltech physicist and expert on relativity informed the plot. His theory that wormholes exist and can be used for time travel intrigued Spielberg, who attended a Caltech workshop on the subject with Thorne and other scientists.

Nolan, who hatched the short story that became his brother Chris Nolan's breakthrough film "Memento," most recently scripted "The Prestige" and the Batsequel "The Dark Knight." The scribe will start scripting "Interstellar" as soon as he delivers "The Chicago Fire" for Warner Bros.

There is no hurry. Spielberg is prepping the fourth installment of Indiana Jones for a June start with Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett, and he is expected to follow with a film about Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War, based on the Doris Kearns Goodwin book. Spielberg wants his "Schindler's List" star Liam Neeson to play Lincoln.

I can't imagine that the script could be bad per se- it has a fine pedigree- but that isn't to say that us fanboys might manage to be disappointed.

True enough - that's actually why I want a script review, so we can at least get some idea of it's quality.

What's interesting is that right after writing TDK, J. Nolan was tapped to write ANOTHER script for WB (The Chicago Fire), followed by the rewrite for a sci-fi Spielberg flick.

This leads to the question:-

Just what HAS Jonah Nolan written for TDK to get him so wanted by the big hollywood people?

Can't say I know how these things work but - I hope that this is a sign of a very good thing! :)

Batsquel??? Those people got all mixed up.

It´s been known for a while that Chris and Goyer wrote a story treatment but Jonah wrote the screenplay. I guess after rewrites Chris didn´t change so much that he´d get the screenwriting credit.

LOL! I am glad to know that I am not the only one to find that news the most interesting in this thread.

LOL, I was kinda excited by it too. I hope Neeson gives Lincoln a high, squeaky voice. I've never heard Neeson attempt anything like that, it would probably be hard for him. But dammit, that's how Lincoln is supposed to sound. :o

He must know Lincoln back to front by now, he started researching in 2004 but Spielberg always has a million things on the back burner

We already knew that, I don't see how this is new. :oldrazz:

Well, it was interesting to me, I thought Chris had a credit also. You've hurt my feelings now.
*goes to cry in corner*

The Nolan Brothers for President.

The Nolan Brothers vs. The Wachowski Brothers: Who would win?!

Romulus and Remus vs Hengest and Horsa.

Neeson as Lincoln has been around for at least two years now.

After TDK, the Nolan Bros. might take over the Wachowski's - we'll see. V for Vendetta was damn good, but the Matrix sequels didn't deliver for most people.....Speed Racer should be interesting.....
