The Dark Knight TDK Talk Show Appearances

Interestingly, Letterman only shows one guest on Friday the 18th, David Sedaras. Considering that's the week TDK comes out, I'd keep my eye on that one.

Also Conan only lists Sean Hayes on 7/11 and The Steeldrivers on 7/18. Again, plenty of room for other guests.

Bale did try to promote Reign of Fire, he was on "Late Night with Craig Kilborn". But I guess since that was a huge bomb, he probably thought "never again". :o

any news about an appearance on Charlie Rose? Nolan and Bale's interview from "Batman Begins" was quite good.

In my DirecTV guide, it says that Bale will be on the Today show Monday July 14th.

Bale's currently filming a high-profile Terminator film, in case anyone was wondering.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find the Today Show's schedule (which no doubt should have plenty of guests), nor Charlie Rose. But admittedly, I haven't looked that hard.

My Directv guide say's Aaron Eckhart is on Letterman on the 15th.
Damn your Direct guide goes that far in advance mine only goes up to about 4 days in advance

Not true he was on Good Morning America for The Prestige. Dude is always funny but not funny in a I try really hard to be funny Shia Labeouf kinda way Bale is just naturally funny. The ultimate must see interview would be Bale on "Late Night with Conan O' Brien"

what the crap? No love for Craig Ferguson??
There damn well better be :cmad: Craig is one of the funniest guys on TV!

Lets try to keep this updated fellas I don't want to miss out on anything. I know HBO will do a "The Dark Knight First Look" which runs about 15 minutes long not really a talk show appearance but pretty good nonetheless.

I'd love to see Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine together, but not on the ****ing View.

any idea on when it will air?

I dont think its that Bale cant be bothered, maybe hes filming terminator. Maybe he doesnt like to do talk shows because he doesn't want to be ''a celebrity''

If you dont want to be a celebrity...dont become an actor!

:whatever::whatever::whatever:

For every Brit here, somebody is most likely going to appear on Jonathan Ross. This is only me guessing though.

i think that too especially since it is a superhero film and jonathan ross is a superhero fan. however when batman begins came out i dont remember anyone being interviewed. its pretty much marvel superhero film stars that are on his show anyway.

The HBO special airs at 9:45 on Thursday July 10 on HBO.

Not every actor wants to be famous. Some just love the craft of becoming/portraying another person. Ledger was the same way, as is Daniel Day-Lewis.

Morgan Freeman doesn't seem to be showing up on the talk circuit either. But it hardly matters. A guy like Freeman, just his DOING the film drives publicity. And let's face it, Ledger is driving massive publicity via the rumors re his performance and via his tragic demise. For that matter, doing a Batman film = a high profile, no matter what.

What matters most is getting the word out that the film is worthwhile. They've done that. They've got the buzz. Talk shows? That's just gravy. The work of driving word of mouth, really, is done. If I were handling publicity, at this point I'd just hand out scores of those Citizens for Batman T-shirts and call it a day.

I don't think someone has said this get but The Today Show has Bale on Monday 7/14, Freeman on Tuseday 7/15, and Gyllenhaal on Wednesday 7/16.
