I don't think it does. I got mine from there, had to take it back and get one from ASDA. It's a bit weird they wouldn't, though. :/ I mean, it's just a piece of card.

If it's just a piece of card then why do you guys care so much about having it.

For one thing my Batman Begins Blu-Ray also has a slip case, so The Dark Knight without wouldn't match. It's also nice to have considering it's advertised with, rather than without. Most pictures seem to show both cases.

I would guess that means "America Only! Sorry Brits!"
you know, basically the same as normal

That is an absolute disgrace. If they said US only, then fine - but it should tell you. But then how come every UK website and magazine is talking about BD-Live on TDK?

145 minutes of movie + 7 minutes of end credits = 152 minutes?

Who knows!?

I'll add another part to this mystery. I checked my DVD from HMV and mine also says 145 mins approx. I checked my other copy from Amazon (its the Batman mask) and that says 147 mins approx. Then I checked my Blu Ray from Play and that says 153 mins. Why is this really weird?!

Could it be because Blu-ray has the ability to play at 24 frames a second though if played through a Standard def TV it will be at 25 frames a second thereby reducing the run time?

This info is from the BBFC website.

It says both versions were cleared without cuts but the theatre and video release have different running lengths.

Theatrical Release:
THE DARK KNIGHT ( Film 25/06/2008 ) Runtime: 152m 3s

DVD Release:
THE DARK KNIGHT ( Video 22/10/2008 ) Runtime: 145m 48s

Uk'ers - does your Blu-ray cover have the BD-Live logo on the back?

I dont know what it looks like but I just checked and there wasn't anything like a special logo to indicate BD Live. This sucks.

This is a comparison of 2 US covers. The one on the right doesn't list BD-Live functionality - just like the UK covers.

All you people who ordered the Blu ray edition off of HMV.Com, does your box have the Batman burning Bat slipcase on it with the Joker case inside because im getting it for Xmas from my sister and she orders everything off Hmv and when i went into the Leeds city center store on monday all the Blurays did not have the slipcases on but they did in the Zavvi store and i really want the slipcase and if i dont get it ill feel like ive been ripped???
Does anyone fancy answering my question??

I did answer your question, actually. I don't believe it does. The HMV here and in Preston doesn't. ASDA however does.

More than likely if you've been in other HMV stores and they don't offer the slip case, then HMV definitely aren't selling them with it.

I went to HMV today and every copy on Blu Ray didn't have a slipcase. I would assume this would mean the ordered copy won't but I could be wrong.

Thanks

Doubt Ill get to that though I live in Leeds and itl cost me a bomb to get down to London

I've heard that it'll be coming back to the Manchester Imax in January though I'm not 100% sure on that. At least it's a little nearer for you.

Did anyone notice BBC's Sports Personally of the Year? they played one of the TDK music...

I know this isnt the thread question, but I thought this to be the most appropriate place to ask, i'm in the UK, and I have 2 copies of the movie so far and both have been, at least what i think, faulty, the first one wouldnt even start, I got it to play with great difficulty, but it skipped back and forth all the way through and 2nd it wouldnt play at all. So I got another copy, and it played, but it skipped all the way through, and even towards the end skipped right back to the beginning. Anyone else in the UK having any similar problems, as its pissing me right off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Na man mines perfect. You got the blu-ray or DVD? I see someone mentioning in the DVD/Blu-Ray thread something similar to your problem with the B-R.

That it wasn't loading up properly and kept skipping. Maybe you should just take it back and change it.

I will be doing tomorrow but if it happens again I'll go crazy!!!!!! This always seems to happen with DVD here around this time of year.
