The Dark Knight Rises TDKR fan trailers thread

I know it's not Rises related, but I figured I'd post this here, since the Rises hype inspired me to finally sit down and put it together, after mulling it over for quite a while before editing it. It's not totally, totally out of place, seeing as it is all about Nolan's Batman, and something else of his as well. I'll leave it to the video to explain the rest... ;) :)

I like the idea and good execution. i did some fan trailers a while back with Superman and a little Mr. Freeze-themed Batman teaser, but I just don't have the time or patience to do any more. Nice to see some new ones popping up.

Very Nice!

I tried creating this thread about a year ago and nothing came of it so after time it just disappeared. I was stuck with favoriting videos on Youtube. Glad to see the thread brought back to life and that all the trailers are in one spot.

I found this one this morning and thought it was pretty good- for a teaser

Thanks, man.
That's an original take on it too ^

Again, I know it's not TDKR, but I figured I'd post my latest The Batman Complex piece. Here is the full length theatrical trailer, a follow up to the teaser I posted here back in February. Hope you all enjoy it. I look forward to the comments again. :)

Awesome work again batman11! Getting some Fight Club vibes from these trailers, but I'd definitely watch a full-length version of this.

Wow, thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate it. :)

BatmanBeyond, there are definitely some Fight Club inspired elements to it for sure. Nothing too major, but the connection is there.

Thought so. :cwink: Any preferences on who would direct this? The obvious ones are probably Nolan or Fincher(at least for me). But who knows, maybe you'd like to have a go at this yourself?

That was the greatest fan trailer I've ever seen. I didn't think you could top the teaser, but you did. Bravo!

Well, obviously it would be a dream to be able to do it myself, but there's a better chance of Cobb breaking into my dreams than that happening. So, just for the sake of fun, Nolan and Fincher would certainly be top choices. The nature of the story is definitely up Aronofsky's alley as well, perhaps even more-so than the other two. I'm sure some other unconventional choices could do something interesting with the concept, especially the idea of this shadowy Bat-entity that seems to haunt Bruce, becoming more and more dangerous as they go deeper into his subconscious.

Thanks a lot dude. I really appreciate the comments. :)

Your work is so inspiring dude. The shutter Island/Joker in jail stuff was genius. I would have never thought of that!

Well, that's what happens when all I do is run through movies in my head, all day and everyday. LOL. Eventually, certain things just align and a lightbulb goes off. :funny:

Wow, great video. You're a brilliant editor.

You know how much I love your videos and when [BLACKOUT]Keaton[/BLACKOUT] showed up I literally s*** my pants. :wow: Another great video batman11.

Question, did you use the score from The Fountain? if so then I love this trailer even more!

I posted this on my Facebook, you're getting some positive buzz from my friends as well!

The Shutter Island footage made me think of something.

Playing a clip of Leo in Shutter Island getting his kid's bodies out of the water after Michelle Williams kills them with a line from Inception about his kids. I'm not as good as you are at this nor am I telling you how to do your amazing work, just a similarity between the two movies I thought of.

Yeah, I saw your comment over on YouTube. Thanks a lot bro. I always appreciate the love. :hrt: ;)

And yes, the score is from The Fountain. "Death is the Road to Awe" is the track. Really fantastic piece.

Awesome! Spread and share I say.

The most rewarding thing about doing these types of videos is being able to enjoy it with fellow fans. The best compliment I could ever hope for is seeing an idea, however resilient (heh), unite a fanbase in some capacity. :)

And yes, that is a good point about Shutter Island. There are indeed a lot of similarities to Inception. Obviously there are large differences that separate the roles, but there are no doubt viable comparisons that provide an interesting link. I'm not sure how much further I'm going to go with the project in terms of adding depth (i.e. I haven't decided if I'm going to do another full theatrical trailer), but more insight into Cobb (such as your suggestion) is definitely something that would feel right at home. :word:

No problem

It really is a great piece of music, I had to look up that track to make sure. Clint Mansell is a great up and comer composer, i'm shocked he isn't doing more scores.
