The Amazing Spider-Man Teaser Poster for the reboot

Fair enough, but this is just a poster for God sakes. Like I mentioned, a temporary one that's used in early production when the real title hasn't even been created yet.

I see your point I'm not like that. But it still grates my skin to think if this film is any way associated with Raimi's films, font, actors, bruce campbell, etc, etc.... I'm going to flippin' lose it.

I want no association whatsoever in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost.

None. Zip. I want fresh, inventive, new. 'Nuff Said.

True, but as far as the costume goes I fear it will resemble it in a way where it will confuse people. The average viewer questioning himself if they've recasted Tobey and why there is another flashback of the origin. They need to reinvent the costume, no matter how perfect it already was... SIGH*

agreed and seeing as how numerous news sources are saying it's an official teaser poster i am even more so against the reboot. i mean how tack is it of them to use elements of sam raimis triigy to put together a poster even if it is just a teaser poster and the film hasn't even started production or whatever...
IDC it still is just stupid IMO that they used elements of raimi's spidey series to make a poster.

Yet people are still panicking about an EARLY PROMO POSTER..... Wow

Yet people are still panicking about an EARLY PROMO POSTER..... Wow

the reason why? is because it's friggin stupid that they didn't even try to do anything original with their promo poster.. they just slapped some crap together using elements from SAM RAIMI'S spidey series. they didn't even try to make it their own..only thing they did was take out the silver webbing. which is ******ed. since this is a reboot NOTHING should exactly resemble sam raimi's films...and the poster looks like it's advertising a re-release of one of sam raimi's films in 3D. I don't give a web shooter if it's a teaser poster..the point is they were lazy and un-original for using something that is visually clearly associated with a totally different spider-man film series.

and if u want to complain about ppl getting upset over the poster than there should be nothing worn with ppl getting upset with those who still cry like babies over SM3

LOL, I'm saying that the theatrical poster designs we're bound to get later is likely going to be different but this early promo is just likely to show that this is getting made. Which is why I think it's nothing to get worked up over

i don't know, i think i DO SEE villains !!

:shock

Is this whole movie seriously just an excuse for Spidey in 3-D with younger/hotter chicks? That's the impression I am getting...

Some impressions shouldn't be expressed then...

1.) We have someone who looks like Peter Parker this time around.

2.) We won't be getting another annoying Spidey film with Kirsten Dunst.

3.) People are taking that promo poster too seriously.

The only bad thing I can think of with the reboot is that the trilogy won't have Willem Dafoe and James Franco.

And possibly no J.K. Simmons, unless they say 'to hell with it' and cast him anyway, which would be great.

Yeah, youre absolutely right. And also with the poster: I know this isnt suppossed to be the actual one, its just 4 promo, but still a bad choice haha.

Real or not, I'm not worried. The movie is still in pre-production. the only thing in talks right now is casting and script changes. i doubt they have ANYTHING else thought of.

I would bet you that they have already started to design the costumes. Filming starts pretty soon.

The impression I got is that they are actually trying again...from Garfield being cast...To Webb as the director and getting help on 3D with James Cameron...To the rumors of Emma Stone and Mia...? lol
and setting it in High School with Gwen as the love interest...
I actually got some confidence that this will be a great film...possibly topping the ol series.

Thank you, and that's the feeling that I'm getting right now.

i love how ppl want to whine about those of us who are up in arms about the poster when there are ppl who still b#*ch about SM3 which is like 3 or 4 years old.
and there is reason for concern...assuming this really is an official teaser poster..it's lazy B.S...
since this is an entirely new series there should be NOTHI NG that resembles Raimi's films, it should be origianl which means they shouldn't use the same friggin' font or costume designs as the last three films. and judging by the teaser poster..that's exactly what they are doing.

^ That's because this "poster" is likely only meant for the internet lol. I'm pretty sure that the posters that will come out once the film is in post-production or promoting it at the comic con are bound to be different.

but the fact that they even went with making this poster and releasing it to the public is lame, lazy, and tacky

As long as they don't use them for their later marketing campaign, their should be no problem
