TED (Seth MacFarlane / Mark Wahlberg / Mila Kunis)

Not surprised. Don't forget the giant chicken action sequences in FG. Those are among my favorite OTT action scenes of all time, live action or not.

This fight felt like one of those. Just brutal

This movie better get some awards recognition for cg. That cg was just ridiculous. He was perfect.

Holy crap MacFarlane knows how to film an action scene. That brawl between Ted and Mark Wahlberg was fantastic

Yeah that scene was awesome. I was surprised it went on as long as it did haha. Wahlberg got his ass kicked.

I may be wrong, but I'm seeing this as being at least number two in box office this week. Last nights midnight was practically sold out. Unless it's extremely front loaded. Unsure.

This movie is getting decent reviews, and for a movie like this, that's enough for me to go see it.

Saw it last night and enjoyed it quite a bit. And the theater was packed. Was not expecting that. And I nearly cheered for
the bashing of Superman Returns.

there were some great shots in the final chase scene too, one that sticks out was this crane shot when ted and ribisi were climbing that structure.

I'm dying to see this movie. I just hope it's as funny as people are saying it is.

I have a feeling most people will let their hate for Family Guy affect their opinion of this film.

I liked the acknowledgement of Ted's voice being close to Peter Griffins lol

And the "fight" between Whalberg and Ribisi's kid

I never really watched Family Guy, but this movie was better than expected imo. It had some great moments in it and it kept me laughing/smiling through the whole movie. I'm not much on comedies(especially at movie theater), but it was well worth it.

Gonna go see it late tonight. I have high hopes and I've heard good things so we'll see how it goes.

Funniest flick I have seen for quite a few years, man. I am a Seth fan so may be biased, but the thing is genuinely funny. Ted's description of Boston women's orgasms had me crying from laughing.

They're showing advanced screenings of this tonight so I'm gonna catch this one.

This movie will honestly find at least one thing about you personally and rip you apart due to it. I confess I eat turkey burgers sometimes, and it was the butt of a joke.

I was surprised this movie was so funny. I hate Family Guy and Seth MacFarlane but I went with a few friends tonight for the hell of it and this was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while.

I was laughing almost the entire film. I think the chase scene brought it down a bit but luckily it picked right back up before the credits. The idea isn't new but seems fresh in the way it was handled . They make Ted seem like a person instead of a caricature and he's hilarious. This is the most un-pc film I've seen in awhile and most of it works. I didn't think it was too offensive because they attack everyone. Also I loved the Flash Gordon references and cameo. Mark Wahlberg really sells the story and the supporting cast is did a good job. Ribisi took creepy to another level with that dance, lol.

8.5/10

Tried to see it tonight. It was completely sold out. All the showings up to the late late 11:00 something show. I'll try again later in the week because it was madness at the theater tonight.

I just got home from seeing the film. Totally had a blast. Was laughing so much in the film. It was just a fun ride.

Have a feeling Seth will be the Judd Apatow of cinematic comedy this decade. Have a feeling...

As long as his movies aren't too long like every single one of Apatows movies produced or directed

A quick question for those who have seen Ted.
The movie has opened well ( prediction is around 51 million) . Based on your rating , any chance of this being the next Hangover in terms of BO performance ?

Honestly, I hate the current state of Family Guy (loved the older episodes and almost all of American Dad) and I came out of "Ted" thoroughly pleased. I thought it was a fantastic comedy.

It was also hilarious to literally hear the age difference in the crowd. When they cracked jokes about the 80s or about older pop culture stuff, you'd hear only about half the crowd laugh lol.
