Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) or Mortal Kombat (1995)?

Thank you, these two movies are so cheap, you shouldn't really have to decide.

Turtles- I saw it when it first came out thinking it would be like the cartoon show, but then it was more like Burton's batman. Plus, you get see Jim Hensons work. Wasn't this his last film that he worked on?

Mortal Kombat-was okay, didn't this film come out at the height of Kombat's popularity?

Buy them both for sure, but I didn't realize we were debating which to buy, I thought we were just debating which is better.

Well I like both of them,I think MK is more enjoyable. Speaking of TMNT 1990,I do intend on getting it on dvd.

I have the first 2 TMNT movies, as well as the CGI one. The third one was just plain awful.

Yes,the third TMNT movie was really really bad. It had a nice story,but a different setting and set of villians should have been used!


I still want a proper live action TMNT movie! I know it can be done right. Krang,Rocksteady,the Technodrome,Bebop,robotic foot soldiers,Slash,Metalhead,and of course Shredder all in it.

Shredder rocked in TMNT,I wanted more screentime for him though. The music during his fight with the turtles ruled IMO. I like MK more than TMNT because it was more action packed had more music in it which sounded good.

How is this even a contest? Turtles should be the one bought simply for the rooftop scene in which Shredder tools on all 4 at once. I wish it had lasted longer.

I liked the Raph scene on the roof where he gets ambushed by a crapload of Footsoldiers. Then finally gets tossed through the glass roof and lands all broken in front of the other turtles.

i like 'em both...but the turtles a little better because it was a faithful adaptation...mk was tinkered with...in a major way...scorpion's spear...the cgi for reptile...killing kano off within the first 40mins or so...there was a lot wrong with it...oh and giving goro eyes...but its a fun movie...and i love the mk franchise...it still remains one of the highest grossing video game movie adaptations of all time...second only to tomb raider i believe...thats a over a 10 year record.
