Animation Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

I liked the idea behind the Bay Turtles, but they were crazy overdesigned. I'd just give them different pigments and different builds, but not so monstrous like we saw in the reboot. Slightly different accessories as well.

Idk what they were thinking when they made those hulk turtles. They are ninja. Why would they wear a bunch of crap that makes noise and they didn’t need weapons since they had super strength.

ok, that's some news. Though it means nothing if they don't get decent directors.

Please don’t make it like that horrid recent cartoon

They should just adapt the IDW canon this time. Best of all worlds.

Would love it, but every new TMNT thing is awalys a blend of what came before + something new/fresh entirely.

I still think it'd be cool if they took a Where the Wild Things Are approach with the turtles, with the faces being the major CGI aspect.

Just make them look like the 80s cartoon mixed in with modern aspect. What made the 90s film a classic is they made the turtles look like live action versions of the 80s toon with small little touches. So please don’t put so much accessories and annoying gimmicks on them this time. Like armor

The fact that they can use CGI to fix elements of practical costumes for the MCU characters tells me that it would be possible to put men in suits again, and just augment it with CGI. More lifelike eyes that move and blink properly, mouths that can articulate words better, etc.

The only thing that confuses me about the video posted above is that these are the producers who already did the first two TMNT rebooted movies. So... they're rebooting their own reboot? If that's the case, you have to imagine that the turtles will be designed differently to avoid confusion (which will really just increase confusion among the general public).

Make it as close to 1990’s aesthetics (New York), design (suits), care (character work, ala farm scene stuff)... with Lord/Miller wit meets The Raid and Blue Ruin.

Only use cgi on landscapes, maybe comic-book it up a little ala Spider-Verse Ang Lee’s Hulk, and touch-up the natural suits/in camera action.

I genuinely don't thjink they're gonna do suits anymore in this age of Caesar the ape. Also stunt guys aren't as in demand anymore.

THANK GOD!

I hated the Michael Bay-produced reboot films.

1. Stay close to the original comic run and mix in some of the classic cartoon and IDW comic series.

2. Keep the TMNT's look simple. No clothes or unnecessary crap on their bodies and shells. Stick to the source. Naked. Bandanas. Kneepads and elbow pads. Weapons.

3. Don't make Shredder a ***** or some robot-Shredder if he is used. I want the Foot and him to look like their comic book counterparts. One thing that is still impressive with the 90s film is how close they got to honoring and adapting the looks of the characters.

4. Used villains that we haven't see onscreen yet like the Baxter Stockman Fly, Rat King and Triceratons. Bring in the Fugitoid.

5. Go the way of Caesar with the CGI or Hellboy route with a nice blend of suits and CGI. Go practical but use CGI when needed.

6. Respect the source.

7. Get an actual redhead for April (Bryce Dallas Howard, Emma Stone or Anna Kendrick come to mind). Get a guy who looks like Casey Jones.

8. Finally, bring in Mousers, Channel 6, build the universe and characters.

As much I disliked the Bay produced movies I doubt we are getting anything different with this reboot unless the studio's actually have the balls to go small scale again, and use practical suits instead of the over designed CGI crap we have been getting.

Man, how quickly do these re-boots get greenlit?
Still waiting for MoS2 - and we get another Turtles reboot!!!

I hate to break it to you, but Michael Bay is still a producer on this, isn't he?
