I'm still not a fan of the art style at all, but the idea of an open world TMNT game is something I've wanted for a long time.

IDW's Shredder is my favorite design, ever. A bit minimalistic compared to others, sure. But he feels more like a ninja master than a walking juggernaut.

Looks like the official trailer leaked ahead of time via Xbox marketplace. Looks pretty awesome, especially visually, slated for Summer 2016. If I were to guess, it'll come as a tie-in to the new film.

Platinum Games just can’t win. The debut trailer and official description for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan has leaked a day before the “official leak” promised by developer Platinum Games tomorrow.
The leak comes via Xbox.com. Here’s the outline:

Battle alongside your brothers through the sewers, subways, and streets of NYC to take down Shredder and Krang’s evil organization, Foot by Foot. Unleash custom combat skills and powerful team combos to save Manhattan from the overwhelming dark forces growing in the shadows.

Everything so far has only referenced online co-op, so it looks like it's online only.

Why wouldn't there be couch co-op? Seems like a no brainier to include.Also the designs are straight off the IDW comic pages which excites as that is my favorite incarnation of the TMNT. Also written by the co-writer of the comic. Very excited about this.

I would assume that developers don't do couch co-op because they have data that tells them it's a feature that only a small minority of players will use, thus placing it not very high on the priority list.

well it's been working fine for Nintendo, gear box(one of the few that still do this in north cambric ) various people that make games similar to Diablo . like the divinity games it's seems the industry is still split to a degree when it comes to couch co -op .

but as soon as I saw the image soapy put up with the turtles having head sets I knew it would be online . it's rare that they will have couch co- op do missions in a way Rare did with Jet force Gemini where you can split off from your team split screen style take two different paths it was only done recently with divinity original since too. where someone can do that in that game

No one does gameplay like Platinum. They have the best gameplay in the business, and it isn't all that close. From Software is the best contender.
