Legend of Korra brought to you by Platinum Games

Nice. Long as my finances are in order, I'll have my Xbox One around then. This'll be be one of my first purchases for next gen.

They haven't announced releasing it any other way, so I think so.

I wonder what the price point is.

It's digital-only, yes, on PS3, PS4, 360, Xbone and PC. The pricepoint is $14.99. There's also a 3DS title, but I think it's more of a SRPG and developed by someone else.

It just occurred to me that we're getting two Platinum developed titles on the same week, days from one another. Christmas has come early, my God.

The Legend of Korra has a special difficulty level tuned for fans of Platinum Games – Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance – producer Atsushi Kurooka says in the latest behind-the-scenes video. Activision approached Platinum to do The Legend of Korra, and the show's depth and silky smooth fight scenes convinced Kurooka it was "worth the challenge," as he puts it. And the final boss fight? It "has Platinum Games written all over it."

The video shows off a few cool fight scenes between the talking heads, too. The Legend of Korra is due out on October 21 on PS3, PS4 and PC, and on October 22 on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

I made to the start of Chapter 3. Will play more later; I don't want to blow through tonight.

  • It's not a graphical powerhouse so don't go in expected it. The level I saw was not densely populated. It runs at 60 FPS which is very nice.
  • There's more than a few pathways off of the main path in the level I played where you can get artifacts for a Collection.
  • There's some pathways you are blocked off from because you need bending that you don't have at the start, so will have to be revisited later.
  • Korra can beat the **** out of cars. Yeah, you take it, car! Smash smash smash
  • I'm playing on the normal difficulty level.
  • I lost a bunch of times at the pro-bending battle they just throw you into at the beginning right away. I had no idea at first what I was doing.
  • The controls are really great and feel awesome. I'll be more even more excited when I unlock the bending.
  • Some non-linear storytelling at the beginning.
  • The camera is ok. You have direct control over it most of the time. There were a couple of times when there were a lot of foes on the screen where it might have been better if the camera was pulled back a bit.
  • I'm digging the music. Good stuff.
  • Same with the voice acting.
  • There is an in-game shop that sells stuff.
  • There's a menu called Korra's room that lets you equip items and change costumes for Korra. There's something that has to do with bending but I haven't unlocked any of that yet.
  • I love Naga. She runs so fast though I barely kept up on the runner level. Slammed into things and saw Korra go SPLAT! at least once.
  • There's a lot of trophies/achievements. There's even a Platinum trophy.

I'm enjoying it. It definitely plays like a somewhat dumbed down Bayonetta, but still good fun. The appetizer before Bayonetta 2, worth $14.99.

that's the fair score that's the people will find it fun at first and it's playable its not bad i totally terrible, but could be better. it was rushed ot there wasn't enough TLC with this unlike the others Platinum does .

IGN has given this a 4.2 which is in the bad zone. I'll put up the others when they become available

IGN is worthless junk anyway. It's definitely not near a 4. The combat is actually pretty polished, if very basic, and it runs smooth. The more I play, the more I think of Rising than Bayonetta, though, which is interesting considering how both of them were done on short time tables.

Not finished it yet, but I've probably give it a fairly solid 7.5-8.

the person that reviewed it is someone that I question alot he didn't even know it's the same voice actress from the show, so which why they're on my sketchy list still their abit higher the game spot. they only have a few good reviewers and that dude I question alot ... Any way as I said when I see other's from other sites etc I'll put them up.

Destuctoid gave it a 7/10

All in all I like it. Not the best game in the world as I hate temple run, but 4/10 sounds like someone doesn't like the show and didn't even try to play it.

lol Destructoid is even lower on the trust meter then both Game spot & IGN it also depends on who's reviewing from there too.

Anyway the person from IGN is called Dan Stapleton as I said I question him a lot cause he didn't eve know it was the same voice actress from the show . and other times some of the stuff with be come click flame bait .

I trust Destuctoid more then IGN and Gamespot since well.... Descructoid actually wrote a competent review of the game.
