The Dark Knight Telephone recording

I heard it from a scooper who heard it from a source. He wouldn't say any more because he was busy.

But what he said was "The Joker isn't done with the cons yet." He didn't specify which con, so it could be WW or CC.

I'll admit that it's very good in terms of intent.

The problem is that this viral marketing is aimed at us (i.e. people who were going to see the movie regardless).

I don't see how this kind of marketing brings in the average Joe and Jane.

I doubt one regular Joe happened upon this site by accident and is now taking it all in.

Target aimed at. Target fired upon. Target missed.

Okay I like your follow work on mine. Now how about I follow up on what your saying. It just came to me.

We know that the man obviously dies. Right, by his last words and then the phone just going silent for a few seconds for call ended. We can assume hes dead. So if we assume the 401 is DA as in disctrict attorney. Could the man in the seat be dent. It was a mistake joker thought he killed him but instead scarred him horribly.
Cause it does sound like he has this horrible obsession with DENT!

Just floating another idea out there.

Possible....so many theories, so little time. :cwink:

Who are "the cons"? The people at the convention?

You never do actually hear the joker in the 800 # clue, just a scared sh**less captive, very cool. Would have been better had you heard something of ledger in the background.

This "event" more than likely made the evening news in San Diego and the surrounding areas, basically "almost free" coverage.

Yeah, I've been watching the news and they have been covering SDCC. Plus LOTS of people with bigass video cameras.

I heard that somebody said that the Joker might not be done at Comic Con is there any truth to that?
Oh, pleeeaaase let that be true! I want to score a Joker-vandalized dollar! And hopefully get into some of this viral marketing stuff!

Good. That is a good thing. :yay:

But I think a good idea would have been to involve shows like ET, Insider, Access Hollywood, etc.

What I mean is that people didn't have to be aware of...let's say the Joker's Harvey site when it first went up.

But every effort should be made to make it known to them even if it is after the fact. Put it in their minds to perhaps get online and see it.

IMO, the problem with viral marketing is that it is put on us (the fanbase) to spread the word since the viral marketing itself (95% of it) is aimed at us. In the end, is it any different than what we'd be doing anyway?

I believe the phrase was meant to abbreviate "the conventions." However the first time I read it, I was thinking of a con as in a con man, meaning Joker's tricks.

So who knows?

Where did this phone number come from? I called it and was kind of creepy. Whoever the actor was did a good job in sounding terrified.

you know how he has the dbl murder on his hands.

Well the viral ads is teh way we the people see THE JOKERS THEATRICS. Somethign he has in common with BATS.

I'm surprised that no one posted the recording. I feel sorry for the poor guy.
Here's the upload: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VZSTA97C
Or you can call 1-800-395-9646 if it still up.

Hi everyone.
First time poster, long time visitor.

I live in Sweden (not that it matters anymore, the recording is taken off the air, right?) and
haven't had access to the recording.
The upload doesn't work anymore (or maybe just for me?). Is there anywhere else I can find the recording? Or could the OT maybe upload it again or something, please?

I'm dying(!) to hear it.... literally.

Thank you...

PS. Love the Shh!-boards. Much nicer tha the IMDB-boards I used to hang out in.

Welcome to the Hype.

Thanks, thanks a lot.

And thanks for the sound-clip, it worked.
Too bad the last few seconds got cut out.
Damn that **** was scary....

The females of the party did pretty damn good as well

Thanks! :woot: heartattack4444 from the chat here, just stumbled on this and really appreciated it. :oldrazz:

But I was wondering if it was somehow possible to get a recording of "Why so serious?" from the Jokerized dollar bill? It never worked for me. :csad: Sounds really cool, though--the possibility of the Joker imitating Batsy's voice sounds awesome! :joker:

That was scary, I might just go by a nightlight to use tonight. lol. Seriously, that was awesome! Anybody know if theres anyway I could download this on my phone and have this be what my callers hear when my phones ringing?
