Action-Adventure TENET

Oh great, the very thing Nolan is amazing at: romance. Hope there's tons of action, since he's amazing at that, too. :o

They had me at "thriller".

lol Nolan isn't good in action? That's new.

Romance is indeed something he hasn't thrived on but it's not something he has put much emphasis on so it might be interesting to see if he delivers this time.

It's not my ideal choice of genre but I always like it when filmmakers experiment in different things and the mix of those two movies in description certainly has my curiosity.

Very interesting. I think Inception already was sort of like a romantic, noir-ish thriller so I'm definitely curious how this will differentiate itself.

And I feel like people hear the word "romance" and automatically assume it will be some sort of touchy, feely love story that is totally outside what we've seen from Nolan. I feel relatively sure that won't be the case. I'm expecting to see two romantic leads with great chemistry in more of a constant witty sparring, old Hollywood sort of way. That's pure speculation, but that's the direction I can see Nolan going with it that fit his sensibilities. Throw in some globe trotting adventure, noir-ish intrigue and thrills and you've got yourself the formations of a Nolan movie. Just curious where the "meets Inception" part comes into play and what the sci-fi element is, if any. And excited to see who is cast. It seems like who the two leads are will be crucial based on the description.

Would love to see Bale and Hathaway together again, but not getting my hopes up.

Oh, wow, I think that's great! Nolan really pushing himself there with the romance aspect. If he deliver on that in his own way then we'll be in for something unique.

Well that's certainly an enticing combo of movies, so I'm guessing this is going to have a sci fi element.

FYC: Adams and regular sized normal looking Bale :o

My reaction to that description was a very strange mix of "awesome!" and "oh no!"

But I'm very glad Hoytema is gonna be the DP again. He does such great work with Nolan.

This time the female character has a dead husband.

Brilliant! Just keep Chastain away from this and get the better redhead, Adams.

So, it seems he's continuing his recent trend of pushing himself outside his comfort zone, with Interstellar being more overtly emotional than his previous work, and Dunkirk having very little dialogue etc.

I'm looking forward to it as always. Especially since I've maintained for years that his sense of humour in his films is underrated.

If we’re going with WB favorites, then maybe BCoop and Margot Robbie?

Of course he's not a big enough name, but why not Aaron Eckhart?

I kinda wanna see someone who hasn't gotten too much exposure.

This is some carry-over from my discussions in the Batman casting thread, but how about someone like Christopher Abbott or Jack O'Connell?

Boom and his Christopher Abbott... :o

I would get Harry Styles and Nick Jonas just so Nolan's fanbase can cause another riot.

Nick is packaged with his wife so Nick and Priyanka then. Expect 100 premieres for the movie. :awesome:
