Action-Adventure Terminator: Dark Fate

F*.. reviews! You don't need other people's opinions. I don't know about spending halloween night with this though

I'm definitely seeing this opening weekend regardless, it's just going to take a strong reception to get me to check it out on the 31st. I could stay home and watch the first Terminator, which makes for a really great Halloween film, by the way.

Great Valentine's Day movie too

I just have a feeling Genisys will be better

Not entirely sure how. Everything I've seen is that the leads are doing a much, much better job acting than the Genysis leads...

I like how the Rev 9 looks as he rejuvenates. He looks so satisfied in a way. And digging the direction of the T-800. Has their been an explanation for why this one got sent back and laid low for so long?

''i am going to help protect the girl....because i choose to''

this is a decent

Not sure where else to post this. I admit it is out of left field.

I always wondered how the issue of reproduction is handled in the terminator reality. If humans are that close to being extinct, you need to make a lot more. Is there a quota of children to be born? How do do you stay hidden when you have a bunch of screaming children? And the most awkward question: Has Skynet tried to contaminate the water with hormonal bc?

When they’re scurrying around like rats in the rubble, I don’t know if ****ing is a big priority. It’s like they live constantly in a war zone.

All Reese had to say about women when Sarah asked about the future was that they were good fighters, and he hadn’t seemed to have ever been with anyone before Sarah.

There were quite a few little kids in the one future scene, though.

While I would never tell anyone to base their opinion of a film solely on reviews, reviews do have merit. There are always going to be outliers, but if a movie is at 9% on RT, it's usually a safe bet that it's not very good. If the reviews for this thing are 75-100% negative, I'm definitely not wasting my time seeing it in a theater.

It’s less about a score for me and more about why it got that score. Some flicks may well be terrible, but in an enjoyable sorta way. Serenity is one example. Really wish I had caught that train wreck in theaters.

I had forgotten I had won a free movie ticket about a year ago. I'll use it for this mess, I'm a bit curious.

They should continue to dance all around it without actually saying the words, sorta like Uncle Ben's "power and responsibility" line in The Amazing Spider-Man.

"Join me on this journey rather than remain here and put your life at risk."

"Let's escape together since we both desire to survive."

"Come away with me, in the night. Come away with me, and I will write you a song."

Eh, I wish these movies never would’ve leaned so hard on those lines to begin with. So I’ll take a modification over just parroting the same thing over and over.

That sentence only worked first time because while it's cheesy, it was first time you heard it and Arnold said it (in serious tone). And in that situation works because he is actually robot/cyborg/terminator. He is f programmed to say certain lines. He didnt learn them and doesnt have consciousness to distinct what he should say or how he should say it or in what situation he should said it.

That's why I find it so cheesy that they are actually trying in any of sequels put in it or some version of it and every time it comes out funny. Or so unrealistic to a point where it's just a joke.

Saying Cameron is the only one who can do Terminator has always been really silly to me
Yes indeed. Like Cameron (or any of the great Directors/Producers) have some kind of magic wand or havent made mediocre or bad movies right ?

A good movie depends on many things. The notion that Cameron alone can save the franchise is clearly bad thinking.

If Genisys is a better film then damn...just damn

Yep. Even though i think Genisys is okish its a low bar for this movie. It needs to be much better than Genisys.

Reviews are quite a useful tool. I dont think "f**k the reviews" says anything wise.

The only reason im seeing this movie is cause there is nothing else playing in November.
I ve lost interest after Genisys. The whole "we must have an all female cast" had me lost interest even more and the trailers (at least the ones ive seen) didnt help either.

I hope its good but im not betting on it.

The track record alone suggests this movie will be forgettable.

I also think the movie will bomb regardless of the quality because audiences have moved on.

The Terminator franchise is obsolete. It needs to die.

At some point the geniuses that produce those movies need to get the message.
You failed with 3 sequels in a row. If you fail with the 4th then stop making them please.

Michael Biehn said it the first time.
