17% on the Tomatometer, lol.

That is really bad. The trailers arent really good but I expected it to be better than Salvation but 14% this early? geez Paramount. Following the footsteps of Age of Extinction, G.I. Joe, Last Airbender and Ninja Turtles.

But I still plan to watch this next next Saturday.

Why?

And at least AoE, and Ninja Turtles were success so I doubt they care that critics didn't like it

There are 8 reviews. Hardly a consensus.

Not that I'm expecting it to surge to freshness, either.

i'll watch it out of curiosity when it hits HBO.

Do you think it looks bad or good?

It looks meh... but I just want to see it in a theater for some reason. Well I watched Salvation too and I am getting a free large coffee drink anyway which costs the same as the movie ticket.

:csad:

Seeing Biehn just makes Courtney look even more supremely out of place.

Biehn just had....a heart, that Courtney has none of.

Well hey man it's your money.

I just don't get why people pay for a movie when it doesn't look good. Why support what looks like an inferior product even if you did have money to blow?

It's like saying "That car doesn't look good but Im gonna buy it anyway" or "That food doesn't look good but IM gonna buy it anyway"

And then everyone complains about the quality of movies dipping (I disagree but whatever) when they will go an support something that doesn't look good.

I'll watch this on Netflix, HBO, or i'll watch it for free online. IF I like it, I'll buy the Blu Ray.

Im not gonna spend money and support something that looks crappy.

Biehn was so good in that role. One thing i give Salvation credit for is Young Kyle was well cast.

Well the Terminator brand sold me. however if this was a new property, I would be skipping it.

I liked Yelchin, but he was different. He didn't seem like he would grow into the Reese we know.

I actually don't have a problem with Courtney in terms of facial looks as Reese. I didn't really expect them to look like the past iterations. In terms of Acting skills im not sure. Ive only see him in Die Hard 5 and I actually didn't mind him in that.

My main problem is that they turned him into a generic action hero it seems. Reese was cold, stoic, but at the same time kinda child like. From what Ive seen of Genysis he seems to have a bit more humor/sarcasm and is ripped. When does he have time for reps when he's fitting deadly robots?

Man, this all day er'day.

I know people feel it's harmless and yes, it's their time/money, but I don't think they get how studios look at this. All they see is, "this film made money! Let's keep making films EXACTLY. LIKE. THIS!"

There is zero incentive to ever try harder, and in fact, the films that typically try to cash in on another's success are of even lesser quality, all because time and again - whether out of brand loyalty (the worst sort of blind consumerism) or morbid curiosity - we prove that we'll spend literally all the money on sub-par films (<looks at while flipping the non-avian dinosaur to Jurassic World>).

Please, just wait until pay cable or streaming, but for chrissakes, stop rewarding mediocrity. That's how mediocrity becomes the norm.

Anyone know what the ending is supposed to be? It apparently set's up the next film.

I'm not going to lie. I kind of want to see it becuase it looks hilariously bad.

Yet, you question people (like me) when we say the new Ghostbusters movie looks like crap by everything we've read? And IS going to be in inferior product to the original??

whatever.

^ Some Most comments over at /Slashfilm are saying that the movie is at par or better then bad "Jurassic World" (which is hard to believe), then there's this amazing review -

Terminator Genisys Spoiler-Free Reaction: “The Best Terminator Movie Since T2″

Now, over at Forbes, it's review -

Review: 'Terminator Genisys' Makes 'Terminator Salvation' Look Like 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day'

http://www.forbes.com/sites/scottme...rminator-genisys-is-the-worst-terminator-yet/

:funny:

"There is no future, there is no past. Let’s hope this Terminator is the last!"

:hehe:

I actually had hope after Cameron endorsed the film but apparently he's completely out of touch or they paid him a a lot of money to say the movie is good.
Laeta Kalogridis, one of his friends and someone he mentored, wrote the movie. She worked with him before on Battle Angel and Avatar. That's why he's being nice.

Collider just reported that a Terminator TV show is still in development too. Lawd.

Yet, you question people (like me) when we say the new Ghostbusters movie looks like crap by everything we've read? And IS going to be in inferior product to the original??

Ok...
1) This isn't the Ghostbusters thread and its really random to bring it up
2) I don't think I ever question anyone about saying the new Ghostbusters film looks like crap. SO I don't know why quote me on that. Im personally not excited for it.
3) It doesn't matter if it's inferior to the original in the case of Terminator. I just want it to be good. If it's as good as the original? Great. But I'd just settle for a good movie
I don't know why you would bring your Ghostbusters problems to me, who has nothing to do with the movie or it's support; in a thread that has nothing to do with Ghostbusters; and quoting me on a comment that has no relation

Chill

Why does Rotten Tomatoes say 14%? 3/9 are positive, putting it at 33%.

I'm pretty fatigued on the Terminator franchise. I wasn't expecting this to be very good, but... I feel a lot of these critics wrote their reviews before they saw the movie. In part because the series has been run into the ground... but also because the critics do not want to see Arnold make a comeback. Seriously: can it be worse than "Terminator Salvation"?

Unfortunately for Arnold... if this tanks, there probably won't be a Conan sequel. If only they'd held off on making a "Predator" sequel until Arnold was out of office and then they could include him.
