Funny thing is Cameron never specifically said he liked it. These quotes feel more like him doing a favor for his pal Arnold.
Why does Rotten Tomatoes say 14%? 3/9 are positive, putting it at 33%.
I'm pretty fatigued on the Terminator franchise. I wasn't expecting this to be very good, but... I feel a lot of these critics wrote their reviews before they saw the movie. In part because the series has been run into the ground... but also because the critics do not want to see Arnold make a comeback. Seriously: can it be worse than "Terminator Salvation"?
Unfortunately for Arnold... if this tanks, there probably won't be a Conan sequel. If only they'd held off on making a "Predator" sequel until Arnold was out of office and then they could include him.

Maybe he just needs to make good films?
C'mon with the conspiracy theories...

Still maintain that 60 Minutes interview did unrepairable damage to Arnold. He could never come back after that.
Effectively killed his popularity with women (which in its prime was huge, thanks to the Ivan Reitman comedies and yes his marriage).
Ok...
1) This isn't the Ghostbusters thread and its really random to bring it up
2) I don't think I ever question anyone about saying the new Ghostbusters film looks like crap. SO I don't know why quote me on that. Im personally not excited for it.
3) It doesn't matter if it's inferior to the original in the case of Terminator. I just want it to be good. If it's as good as the original? Great. But I'd just settle for a good movie
I don't know why you would bring your Ghostbusters problems to me, who has nothing to do with the movie or it's support; in a thread that has nothing to do with Ghostbusters; and quoting me on a comment that has no relation
Chill

"There is no future, there is no past. Lets hope this Terminator is the last!"

Critics are just failed comedians.
A bunch of diehard Terminator fans who still want to check out the movie out of morbid curiosity/loyalty from the franchise are not going to miraculously turn this movie into a hit. That is not going to save this movie from bombing if it indeed has all the makings of a bomb.
I get the philosophy behind what people are saying about rewarding mediocrity, but it's a bit over the top IMO...
...The masses are getting savvier though, and they have more and more options competing with movie theaters in their living rooms. The studios will eventually have to step up their game. And there will always be stinkers that come out, even when the intentions are good. Just the nature of a creative medium.
Sure it is. And there is in no way a current, relevant, box-office shattering example which might otherwise prove that point...

The last thing I would ever call Roger Ebert is a failure.Critics are just failures, PERIOD.
Of course he was doing a favor for his friend. It's naive to believe otherwise.Funny thing is Cameron never specifically said he liked it. These quotes feel more like him doing a favor for his pal Arnold.
