Um Im not quite sure I understand? Perhaps in interviews he jumps about but when he is acting in films and not just being himself Im sure he can be subdued and serious.

Yeh see I initially thought that but then I thought it would be cooler if he played Kyle Reese. This is just my idea for a complete reboot btw so no need to have any connection to the previous actors appearance, but yeh could totally work as an older T2-JC

Problem is no one wants to make a movie about the T800 trying to save the Connors one more time. It's a pointless excuse for Arnold to rehash his past.

Actually the fans are sick of this franchise rehashing Terminator 2. It's like how Konami keeps making a (bad) version of Silent Hill 2 over and over again to the point where people hate the series now.

Sooo i finally downded the movie and yea, it was....disappointing. it was good, and disappointing. and it was bad. and it was all sorts of crazy.

things i liked most. Arnold CGI. Looked great. But, it looked exactly like the original 1984 movie (perhaps just a tiny bit more polished). Soooo, yeah, cheap expensive trick.

I did actually like the young vs old terminator fight. That was cool, it just lasted too short. Not that it could have lasted much longer though.

Beefed up 84 arnold vs pops unfortunately made pops look like a weak pup. I dunno if he was CGI buffed up, but - yeah i know he's like what, 80? - pops should have looked more buff.

So, what did i not like about the movie?
Well for starters, it was just too crowded/complicated. You just dont follow it anymore after a certain point. It just makes no sense no more. Especially the kid skynet thing.
And then the 'Skynet' Dr Who thing? what?

Upgraded Terminator pops? no.

I can only classify this terminator movie as "How Terminator would be made today by second-class writers that will try and live off every past terminator movie and blend it into todays world".

That means, they never seemed to idea having a thoroughly good Terminator movie. You know, a game-changer.

the young old terminator fight didnt make sense. when the scene ends its made clear that it was all part of the plan that Sarah destroys it with the gun. he gives her the thumbs up. what was the point of the fight? lazy writting.

Yeah especially the secret skynet lair in a cave. And skynet is a hologram after it was a social media app. Like the hologram girl from Resident Evil. What year did they end up living in at the end? 2016? Did Sarah and Kyle even boink to make John? Is John too young to be the leader now that he's still an egg and sperm in 2016? Hell I can't remember now.

Terminator genisys was amazing.
The hate for Jai Courtney is pathetic. Just comes across as jealous fanboys.
The action was great and the movie gave us something new and addressed some of the issues from the older films.
Don't think the American movie audience/domestic total really matters as it used to be.
Just because Arnold hasn't got the box office appeal as he used to in America doesn't mean he isn't relevant or should retire. He still matters to the rest of the world.
