Peter Travers isn't :p .

Regardless of critics, the movie is going to ridiculously underperform. It won't even cross $200 million US.

lol of course he isn't :D yeah :cwink:

As for the course, surely yes sadly imo.

He has? I don't know man, considering his health issues and all and apparently forgetting certain things (he also stated that T2 took place post-judgement day)...maybe its time for him to turn it in...

One question? when Marcus got punched in the heart by the T-800 shouldn't that of done enough damage to kill him off completely beyond the grave plus if there wasn't that whole revival scene then John Connor wouldn't of gotten distracted and the T-800 wouldn't of caused severe injuries too him.

Well, Marcus was part machine, who knows how the hell that may or may not have been a factor in jumpstarting his heart.

Clearly, we can't look at Marcus in the conventional human sense.

Yes.

Judgement day did happen in 2003 as showin in T3 and if you notice, he is married to Kate and she is pregnant with his child.

Eh, if you really want to base your movie-going experience, on critics I suggest reading the percentage ratings on RottenTomatoes.com. I don't base my opinions off of that, but I usually do base whether or not I see a film in the theatres or wait for a rental based on the percentages.

That said, if I've been anticipating the movie for reasons like it being my favorite franchise or having a certain actor or something... I'll go anyway.

Thanks. Haven't seen the movie yet cause I live in mExico. But some one told me T3 was not part of the continuity. I liked T3's ending so its good to know.

You know.... everybody's a critic...
Roger Ebert LOVED the Garfield movies... but HATED Star Trek
So ya... he doesn't control the movies I watch
He didn't LOVE the Garfield movies or HATE Star Trek. Stop exaggerating.

The Garfield movies got three stars, and Star Trek got two and a half.

So you don't know what you're talking about.

Movies Ebert LOVED? Check out his Great Movies list. HATED? Any movie that he gave between zero to two stars.

Yeah, true but he can't live with out his heart can he? unless they made him in too 100% terminator like Arnold.

If your a fan of the whole Terminator films overall concept and want to see a different film and story from the first three films....and go in not expecting a replica film from T1 and T2....then definitely go see it.

Don't let fools try and dissuade you.

The movie did exactly what it set out to do...create a post apocalyptic world full of doom and gloom. John was just as I fugured...a battle hardened man with no room for compassion (mostly), his job is to keep humanity together in order to save it. There is no room for things like joy, or mourning. Only hate towards the machines...it's the only way to win.

The movie delivered what I thought it would.

Hey someone else gets it.....bravo! :applaud

Already saw the film. I liked it.

I saw the film. It was not as awful as the critics say at all. I would have expected between 60% and 70% on Rotten Tomatoes. But it was not as good as I though it'd be when i saw the trailers. Bale was not as bad as everyone had been saying. I though he did pretty well actually, as did Worthington. I thought Yelchin did alright, but Common and Bloodgood were awful. It's a very entertaining film. I recommend it..

Well if you punch someone hard enough in the chest at just the right moment you can cause the heart to go into abnormal rhythm. This in turn causes cardiac arrest.

So even if Marcus had a metal rib-cage the blow to the chest at the right time would cause his heart to go hay-wire. Being the T-800 to be a perfect killing machine it would know how to properly time such a blow.

I would take you more seriously if it wasn't for that ridiculous sig.
I changed my sig to save movie cred.. Anyway, if T3 has a 70% rating and TS is at like 40% then how is my opinion that T3 is superior so crazy?

Despite the reviews and most hype-members bashing it (well, at least it seems to be more negative than positive around here)... I still think this movie is worth a view. It's better than T3 and that's all I wanted.

I think too many people, critics, and my friend who I saw the movie with... they all wanted a movie as good as T2... but that was never going to happen. Why? Because that's James Cameron's film and this is McG. Two totally different authors....different visions.... different desires, etc....

Well I still think this movie deserves praise for being a better sequel than T3 was... I mean if Spiderman 1 was good, Spiderman 2 was amazing, and Spiderman 3 was the poorest... if Spiderman 4 is way better than 3 but not quite as good as 2 are we all going to throw a fit about it? Being better than part 3 but not as good as part 2 is better than being the absolute worse.

I saw it. I found it to be totally mediocre. From Bale's phoned in performances of mask-less Batman in the future, to the frankly, sort of weak action sequences (the motorcycle scene was the only truly good one)...it just wasn't that good I am sad to say. 6/10.

And on an odd note, I personally feel like thematically, the original ending of Marcus becoming Robo-John would've almost fit the theme of the movie better than what we got.

Quality-wise TS is no different than T3 to me. Crap story, characters you couldn't give a damn about (including John Connor) and ramped up action scenes. The only difference between these two movies is T3 is set in present day and TS is set in the distant future. T3 is at a disadvantage being in the same modern day setting as T1 and T2 and comes off as a poor rehash of those two movies. TS has one advantage of being in a new future setting and everyone can oooh and ahhhh at the cool new robots while ignoring the dumb story and that they're watching characters worthy of a sci-fi channel world premiere.

I really wanted to see some epic battles.

After this scene from T2:

Even if was just an army of T-600s I wanted to see some real peril and danger against the resistance forces.
