there will be a lot more people who have seen it after tonight(Monday)...a bunch of screenings.

You know what, those NY reviewers can go to hell. How can you hate Christian Bale killing robots? :o

so I actually had a chance to see the film tonight...but the Pens are on so I had to pass. A few more days isn't going to kill me

Someone started Trolling up b.s. racial crap. Anyway...

What is up with some of these NY reviewers?

What is it with these NY reviewers and "it isn't any fun."

This seems to be their favorite phrase to use in negative reviews.

I'm curious what other films they gave these types of reviews to. Anyone want to make a list?

That NY review is quite possibly the most hilarious thing I've ever read.
Bale is a Method guy who tries to become his roles, and in principle that’s fine. I’m in the minority in liking his Batman
I'm not a Christian Bale fanatic, but I'm almost certain he's widely considered the best Batman/Bruce Wayne out there?

Decent review but again...."Too little humor like the originals?" Did these people actually watch Terminator? The second had some humorous moments but not a ton. T1 had almost no humor. T3 was filled with crap humor. I kinda get this feeling that people are expecting T3 again or something? I never took the Terminator movies as something I would run to for humor, that is why a lot of fans hated T3.

I'm expecting more mixed reviews than outright positive. Why? Because some groups of people mistakenly believe Terminator is about Arnold. Fans know the movies are about John and Sarah Connor.

That, and because of stupid hang-up's we have seen so far, people want an excuse to hate on this film.

i found it funny that when Watchmen was rated R and everyone (the general public) was mad about it, now T4 is PG-13 and everyone want it to be a R rating
oh the parallels of society

i found it funny that when Watchmen was rated R and everyone (the general public) was mad about it...

I don't think anyone of concern was all that mad about it. Just people who didn't know what the hell they were talking about.

That is a ridiculous comment from the reviewer, T1 was virtually humorless, only really the Bill Paxton scene had humour to it. T2 had quite a bit more, but it wasnt saturated with it either.

thats why i said the general public

Exactly, people who couldn't get past cg male frontal nudity. If that took them out of the film, they have a host of psych issues that they should be spending money on than movies..

Again.. these are the people who would rather see The Reader 10x straight then one viewing of Terminator Salvation

BTW, NOBODY expects TS to do TDK numbers - do they?
Anyone who's sane knows that even TF2 won't do TDK numbers. :oldrazz: The hype just isn't there for any movie this year. (The utter silence in the Star Trek audience after the TF2 trailer played was very telling, LOL.)

Anyways, I expect this to get so-so reviews. Summer movies are always supposed to be fun - I saw Star Trek and it was a fun movie, but it won't stick with me. I didn't feel it had any depth. (Same with Iron Man this time last year, and the Pirates films years past.) I'm not saying TS will be super-deep, but fun is what critics want at this time.

As soon as this reviewer started yammering about "Why is it 15 years afters Judgment Day, and everyone still has clean skin and white teeth", it yanked me right out of the review...

Don't let this person review any other post apocalyptic films, because this nip will find those same damn things... Hey, those kids in Thunderdome had white teeth as well! :whatever:

I hate "legit" reviews written by morons like this who nit-pick non-issues like that...

Going to give it a second viewing tomorrow. (Saw it at the premiere)

I'll let you know my thoughts after a repeat viewing. They may be different.

Maybe answer some more questions later today.
