TS is clearly not one of Bale's best performances, but the director shares part of the responsability, McG doesn't know how to get the best out of his actors.

I've heard this statement a lot and really, I don't want to defend McG, but based on what?

I hear ya.

I agree that McG has problem directing actors but I wasn't really in love with Bale as Batman either so...I guess I just perfer his performances in small films.

Solidus, you are my damn boy. You should be a public speaker or advisor. It has been a good discussion and I do love these movies. I just don't remember every detail I guess.

I understand what you mean. And we have different interpretations of somethings. I just like to crawl inside the heads of creators and question some of there ideas. No different than questioning one's own religion is how I look at it. Sometimes I want to know what the machines have in their heads as much as the soldiers, like Reese knew and explained so to Sarah, I always believed that there was more than just what Reese knew.

Hehe. You're pretty awesome too  Your avvy reeks awesome.:woot:

I personally was disappointed with the CG Arnold.

I thought he looked evil. I don't think they could a better job of bringing him back . I'm thinking we will see this again in the sequel.

I don't think Bale did a bad job. I think McG used the first take too much in the film. He just accepted every performance no matter the delivery or mannerisms of the actors. Which is foolish.

John Connor to me is exactly how Bale played him. I always thought of Connor as a focused, all-serious military leader. I think Bale played that, yeah its a little boring to be one dimensional. I don't think Bale did anything wrong...

What sequel

The sequel that will be greenlit because it'll be the only action movie out for awhile will finish under its goal but will be owned by almost every man on Blu Ray. It's too big a franchise to just call quits even if it underperformed its opening weekend.

Did you notice his Beowulf eyes?

The eyes were the only thing that I felt looked bad with the CGI Arnold face.

That's how it always is with CGI, the eyes give it away everytime. You would think by now someone at ILM would have figured out a way to make them look realistic.

Maybe take notes from anyone who worked at WETA when they did Jacksons King Kong. The eye animation in that film was outstanding, especially Kong's final scene before the fall.

Personally, the eyes didn't bug me, it's supposed to be a dead eyed Robot anyway.

I thought they just ripped his face from the old movies?

It's a CG mask they put on the actor. The tech' has been around in some form or another since the Crow.

I guess I should have been more specific in my previous post.

Human eyes. When it comes to Dinosaurs or monsters/animals it won't bother me and it usually tends to look good for them. Human eyes, WETA or not still looks incredibly noticable.

I know everyone nowadays ****es over WETA but for me it's still ILM > WETA, barely. They're both incredibly good.

Didn't ILM do the Pirates films? That Davy Jones had some damn fine eyes.

LOL. Owned by almost every man??? C'mon let's not compare this piece of crap with Titanic which is owned by almost every girl. TS is hated by most of the GA and critics. Yes, it is an action movie but this is not T1 or T2. WB won't take the risk of a sequel after the bad reception of this one and the poor performance at the BO.

That would once again fit under creatures...not humans.

When you pair up CGI eyes next to or in CGI Human skin it usually never looks realistic. For some reason, they hit gold with Davy Jones but like King Kong I also just don't think it was as noticable due to the monstrous/fictional nature of the two characters.
