I'm sorry, and what exactly is "the right way"?

You don't know what the right way is? You certainly think that people on here are sheep, yet you don't know the right way?

Didn't take long for America to see how badly the Dems bungle things, Obama dithering on every issue helped too.

Time to head back to the Right Way.

We've had "the Right Way" in Bush's 6 years in office, when GOP controlled all three branches of the government AND had a right-leaning Supreme Court. Didn't work too well, did it?

Don't worry. We'll get fed up with the Republicans in about 4-6 years too and go back to the Democrats...who we will get fed up with in 4-6 years and go back to the Republicans.

And on and on does the cycle of never ending turmoil goes

I realized that about 2 years ago and that is when I found my current bleak outlook on politics.

Same here. Back in the day, we would cut the heads off of our leaders when they were screwing us. Today, our definition of "change" is voting for people who do the same thing, but in a slightly different manner.

This is why we fail.

So Ohioans, who b**** and moan about Wall Street, bonuses, and bailouts 24/7, ousted Strickland in favor of Kasich, who came straight from handing out bonuses and bailouts left and right on Wall Street and opposes any kind of restriction on bonuses?

Good job once again Ohioans, for showing you're a bunch of morons.

Could've been a lot worse for the Democrats. as far as the Senate goes, they came out alright. Only six losses, as well as holding Nevada and keeping Reid. That's a win. Of course, there are still two states without results....but they won't lose the majority, regardless.

As for the House....61 losses, yikes. Governors did not bode well either. Who knows what will happen in 2012? 2 years ago the Republican Party was "dead." In two years, we might be changing the Constitution so Obama can have a third term. Who knows?

Governors race in CT is still too close to call, recount may happen

Linda McMahon lost by just around 1,000 votes so she'll be running for Liebermanns seat in 2012

I thought she lost by 100,000 votes?

I guess now we won't have to hear Kel complain about Pelosi. The bad news is now you get to hear me complain everyday about *****.

:argh:

:doom: :doom: :doom:

let me double check that....I might be mistaken....trying to find the actual numbers, but in her concession speech, she made it clear she isn't going anywhere

The Right Way is the GOP doing nothing? Not passing anything just because it has "Obama" or "Democrat" on it?

Voters will just be even more frustrated. They might even give the Dems a second chance...

you're right Matt...my fault...yea she came in at about 453 thousand votes and Blumenthal pulled about 557 thousand

Looks like now Malloy has a slight lead, don't think this one will be called for awhile

excuse me?..."The right way":whatever:

Same can be applied to ALL states. It may seem like this is some huge loss for Ohio, but it isn't. Strickland sucked. Kasich will suck. That's par for the course. Either way, Ohio is screwed.

Isn't our system of government great

*sighs* you come in here to state that we are all followers? Did you vote? Do you even know who is running? Do you know what the platforms are? Do you have an opinion? Instead of telling us to get "our own"....how about giving yours on the topic.
You've made multiple mistakes:
1. I didn't call everyone followers. I called a high number of people followers - initially I went into a farm and called the sheep... well... sheep - and now all the other farm animals - like the horses and the cows and the ducks and the chickens are getting are angry and outraged because they think I'm calling them a sheep. If you're not a sheep, then the statement doesn't apply to you, Kel. Simple as that.

2. Yes I do know who's running. The members of the house, the senators and the governors are being elected. I've been looking into the platforms of the biggest competitors across the nation - and to be honest, I don't agree 100% with a single one - so for someone to come out and say "The democratic/republican way is the right way" is simply ridiculous.

3. Did I vote? No - why? Because I'm a Canadian. I vote in Canadian elections - but even then I don't vote for the party, I vote for the individuals - the lesser of multiple evils usually.

I hope you realize your comment is far more direct, arrogant, ignorant and condescending then mine - as mine was a general statement towards a specific group of people who blindly follow a party (without giving a single name), but you threw me under the bus, directly called me out on something that I did not necessarily do (calling everyone sheep) and you made blind assumptions about me.

Aren't you a mod? Seriously Kel, this is ridiculous. If you don't agree with me, ok w.e. you have your own opinion. I don't care, but if you're going to attack me like that, that's just inappropriate - not only for a mature discussion but also due to the fact that you are a moderator and are supposed to be unbiased and fair in your judgment towards the posters.

You've done it here again. You know I was asking a rhetorical question Kel, so why to you insist on throwing me under the bus?

Sounds like funzies

Thank God Canada has like, 4 Parties in Parliment :yay:

I think a big part of our problem is, what is the REAL incentive for honest people, who do their jobs well on a regular basis, have to run for office? ABSOLUTELY NONE! The media eats you alive, you have to make back door deals with evil people to even be in a potential position of power, and even if you don't have answers, you have to ACT like you do. Plus, our President gets paid how much money? Like 400,000 per year. CEOs of corporations that run effectively make that in hours. Sometimes minutes. What incentive does an honorable CEO for a large company have to run for President? He makes less money and puts himself and his family out there for potential ridicule. EVEN IF HE IS CLEAN!!!

The government is in dire need of reform. We have the people in this country to run it and run it efficiently. The government is like a business, and we have experts who could run these departments they specialize in on behalf of us EFFECTIVELY! We have doctors, lawyers, generals, and CEOs we could put into office, and the US would run like one HECK of a well oiled machine (assuming we put these people into the proper department...not do what we do now and essentially elect idiots on an area of knowledge into THAT position). Policy reading, corrupt jerks who are only good at acting like they have answers and robbing us are however what we're going to get. Because we are not offering the right people any reason to actually take charge on behalf of us. The world has changed, and we need to change with it. Not keep falling into the same traps.

Exactly how was I supposed to know the question was rhetorical? Did you say it with your eyes? The sound of your voice?

Come on, you very seldom post in this forum (which is fine you don't have to be a regular to post.....BUT), you come in with a question like that? I'm going to have questions thats all.....:yay:

Which baffles me when the CEO of ebay is beaten. Meg Whitman is a brilliant business person but California is an *** backwards place so it didn't surprise me she lost. She lost because of an R in front of her name while that state is in the toilet and will continue to lurch down the drain. California is a political Bizarro world.

It's California.....what is so baffling about that....

C.A.L.I.F.O.R.N.I.A......

I agree. It's because we, the collective US voter, are idiots. We blindly love political parties like our favorite football team. But, we're not pulling for the good ones. We're cheering for the Bills

I hope one day, we realize we need people who ACTUALLY know what they're doing and ACTUALLY do something in office running our nation. If we could only put these INTELLIGENT people into our government, we'd be so much better off. Sure, we'd still have problems, but that is life.
