I'm watching Marco Rubio's acceptance speech on CNN. He is sounding very populist. He also said that if the GOP 'misterprets this vote as an american embrace of Republican policy, it is a mistake.' He went onto say that it's a second chance the GOP can't afford to screw up.
He's got a good speech writer. Just like Obama did since 2004 ;) .

This is true, and just like the Dems got a little full of themselves after Obama's election and blew any advantage they might have had, the Republicans will no doubt do the same after this election.

I have no doubt of that either.

Rubio and Paul both had rather confrontational rhetoric in their speech. Jim DeMint has a column in tomorrow's Wall Street Journal telling all Tea Party Senators/Representatives that they are unwelcome in this Congress by members of their own party and that as a whole they'll need to be vigilant to re-change D.C.

Boehner and McConnell have a choice now (more Boehner, obviously). They embrace the new right (and try to move the center to well into the right) or calm down a new, excited freshmen class.

My guess is 2011 is going to be another year of bloody politics, though for different reasons. It will be incredibly interesting to see how Boehner manages expectations and whether he will try to govern or not.

Kasich is leading Strickland? Kasich is exactly the kind of person, straight from handing out bonuses on Wall Street, who got us into this mess.

Like I said, I had Kasich on my win list..... I think there are a lot of people dem and rep that have their hand in Wall Street....he certainly was not alone.

Barney Frank was right in the middle of the Fannie/Freddie crap that lead to the housing crisis and he will get to keep his job.

lol, yeah....I don't understand people voting that man back in.....but hey people are funny when it comes to their home races.... he appeals to his constituents and that is what its all about.

Driehaus(D) just conceded...which mean Steve Chabot(R) gets his job back. :down

Texas loves the status quo. Both Senators will probably be re-elected in 2012.

The south voted in the first black republican to the senate since Reconstruction.

He's an example of the Tea Party saying "see? We can support a minority candidate." Same for Nikki Haley.

I kind of figured the female vote would be what killed Linda McMahon's bid for the Senate.

And the repubs get the house. It was a blowout.

If he can't because of a GOP House then he's a piss poor leader. Look at Clinton.

It's obvious people nowadays are voting out of spite(which includes some for Obama) as opposed to any actual issues.

So far it looks like Susana Martinez / Sanchez (R) is going to win Governor in NM. I think her or Denish are going to be horrible, just as bad as Richardson was for us. =/ But one can only hope, for it's been awhile since we've had a Rep. Governor needless to say.

Teague will keep his job as well. Weeyah. Not like we had a lot of good choices around this time around, period for us. All business owner that are out for the own profit I would assume, as most folks that run are for the most part.
