WhatsHisFace said:They didn't care with MechAssault. I think they launched that game in the same quarter as eight other Mech games. I guess now that it's worth a damn they want less competition, maybe MechAssault is going to become a serious IP for Microsoft.
If that's the case, they should just merge the MechWarrior and MechAssault games. MechAssault was purposefully simplistic, with MechAssault 2 moving forward a bit. If MechAssault 3 is like MechWarrior then people will see it as a huge leap forward for the series, and it would make a lot of PC gamers happy.
YEAH, I'D LIKE TO SEE THEM TAKE 'MECHASSAULT' TO THE NEXT LEVEL, AND MAKE IT LIKE 'MECHWARRIOR' AND 'STEEL BATTALION' (WHICH I'D SAY IS A DEAD FRANCHISE, BECAUSE OF THE STUPID $200 PRICETAG). A GREAT MECH GAME NEEDS TO HAVE A COCKPIT VIEW, A COMMAND SYSTEM, AND THE ABILITY TO TARGET SPECIFIC PARTS OF AN ENEMY MECH.
AS FOR 'CRIMSON SKIES', THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO RHYME OR REASON FOR 1.) NOT MAKING IT BC , AND 2.) NOT HAVING A SEQUEL READY FOR THE LAUNCH WINDOW. THAT GAME HAD THE SINGLE LONGEST RUN ON 'LIVE' THAN ANY IN HISTORY, AND WAS A TOP SELLER.
