WELL, FOR ME, IT'S ABOUT A MORE REALISTIC GAMING EXPERIENCE. THE LEVEL OF DETAIL THAT THE '360' IS CAPABLE OF, REALLY TAKES GAMING TO A NEW LEVEL. I RENTED 'HALF-LIFE 2' RECENTLY.......WHICH I'D BEEN DYING TO PLAY FOR AWHILE......AND I FINALLY LOST INTEREST ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH. COMPARED TO 'PDZ' AND 'COD2' (BEST WWII GAME EVER ), IT JUST DOESN'T HAVE MUCH APPEAL. FLAT, UGLY TEXTURES, CHOPPY FRAMERATE, SLOW AND FREQUENT LOAD TIMES......THINGS YOU SIMPLY WON'T SEE NEXT GEN. EVEN THOUGH THESE ARE LAUNCH TITLES, IT'S AMAZING TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY, ESPECIALLY ON AN HD BIGSCREEN. EVEN 'KAMEO' AND 'PDZ', WITH THEIR HELTER-SKELTER DEVELOPMENT PATHS, TURNED OUT LOOKING/PLAYING PRETTY AMAZING.

Agreed, played it lst night for the first time, not impressed. LOVE the genre but this one is not so good.

lol. That one was somewhat ok. I at least was able to get through 4 levels before losing interest. With the Big Red One it was the beginning of level 2 and I was done.

We should definitely stick to CoD, huh?
Although I still love BiA, the best WW2 for the current consoles (not next gen), and I'm pretty sure I'll have a great time with Sniper Elite and Combat Paratroopers.

I have not played Brothers in Arms yet. Maybe I should get that one. Medal of Honor usually is a worthy investment but maybe the genre is just burning itself out?

I will get BiA and try that one. Call of Duty for the PC was tons of fun.

Pacific Assault was a piece of crap.

The last good Medal of Honor game was Allied Assault on the PC. It was the best WW2 game for years for on any platform. The weapons animations, muzzle fire sound and other audio effects amaze me even to this day. The closest game that came to dethroning it was the first Call of Duty. I'll play Call of Duty 2 when my new upgraded PC with twin overclocked 7800GTX, an Athlon FX-57 and X-Fi Fatility is ready for deployment. Between this game and F.E.A.R, my speakers and sound card are going to get one hell of a workout.

Time to wake the neighbours.
