The 90's....worst decade for comics?

It's the story of a comic strip artist/serial killer named Johnny (or Nee, for short) who lives in an abandoned house, is best friends with a stuffed bunny he nailed to a wall, has taken to protecting the little boy next door with brutal murder dispensed on those who might harm him, and strangely seems to be unable to be captures or killed by the authorities, if he's even noticed in his activities at all. It's a comedy.

Ultraviolence at it's finest. From the guy who created Invader Zim.:hrt:

Like watching a SVU marathon. :(

I'd say it's worse. The people in SVU are victims of bad people. In Acme Novelty Library, while abusive relationships are often a theme, the biggest thing any of the characters are victim of is their own patheticness and lack of insight. It's just an endless sea of abuse and self destruction. The happiest character is the one who's too ******ed to realize how much his father hates him. And even then he knows his father hates him, he just thinks he can earn his love by being a good son. Which he can't. Ever.

You really do. It's totally awesome. I just can't read it in more than small doses. It's by a guy names Chris Ware. I know it's collected in big hardcovers with all of the different stories together. It's like a bunch of gag a day comic strips, but they're all designed to make you cry to death. It's very impressive.

Hardcover comes out on the 20th. I think I'll pick it up then.

Black Panther came out in the 90s too...

*looks around*

It was great!

*crickets chirp*

Damn right it was. Knew I was forgetting something. Christopher Priest with the best run the character ever had.

Yeah he was. Sadly writers after that besides Geoff Johns, and to a small extent Jason Aaron, respect that run.

Looking back, the 90s did have some great runs. I just started reading Astro City, and it's pretty damn awesome.

And don't forget Rising Stars. That series was awesome.
