Atlantis has usually been portrayed in the books as a mix of fantasy tech and ancient magic. The population is often superstitious, but with good reason as they have had their share of tragedy at the hands of supernatural forces.

I actually wonder if there will be any references to the era of Arion in this?

I would prefer them to be techno-monarchist rather than spiritual. Sort of like a high tech, underwater Rohan

Abit like how Krypton was like in MOS. Looks kinda old but technologically advance. Them creatures too

Yeah, only with aspects of sword and sorcery fantasy thrown in. All under water of course.

So much potential for creating a truly exotic/epic location here.

So flashbacks alluding to his origins along with present day material. Works for me.

Makes sense but then again if they do that then how will they work in the events of the Justice League into this film? Because I am sure the events in that film well the aftermath of their battle with Steppenwolf the after effects will most likely be felt in this film but then again we will be introduced into Aquaman's world his origins but then seeing him go up against the Atlanteans of his world I wonder if any of his villains then could wind up in a Justice League film?

Unlikely we see the Aqua-Villains in JL but let us remember that we will see Mera and some aspect of Atlantis in JL, as the Atlanteans will be in possession of a Motherbox. Also I won't be surprised to see a flashback of Humans, Amazons and Atlanteans fighting Apokalips in the past. So we will get a look at Aquaman's world/mythos in JL for sure.

Aquaman's past will get covered in flashbacks as we know a young Arthur and his father have been cast.

This movie is shaping up so nicely. They got the absolute perfect director for this. Can't wait to see some creatures, you know Wan is going to throw some sea monsters in this.

I'm hoping JL is amazing but I've got a bit more confidence in this movie

I really think they need to throw Garth and Kaldur into this

Then that too makes sense but then I wonder if Aquaman's brother Ocean Master/Orm if he wouldn't just try to take over Earth himself especially if he wants to rule Atlantis already

I actually would hold off on Kaldur for sure. To me the power of the idea of Arthur accepting Manta's son in any way is dependent on the death of Arthur's own child. There's a whole bunch of implications to that. It speaks volumes about the difference between a hero and a villain.

I tell you what if this continues the trend of the new DC following Wonder Woman were definitely in for a treat! Just got back from Wonder Woman and I can't wait to see Aquaman now.

Yes after Wonder Woman last night I am even more excited about Aquaman

Same! Even though i've had faith in Wan since the beginning. Now more than ever I hope there's no cameo from other JL members. I want Aquaman to shine on it's own.

You're right. I'm guessing that this first movie will focus more on Ocean Master as the villain, hopefully setting up Manta as the big bad for the sequel. I think that's how it should be, the TDKT formula of saving the big villain for the second movie. Of course this formula is only wise if WB has a hit and is confident that a sequel will be made.

Not sure if Wan will pull it off. But when he does, it's going to be glorious. Keep the lessons learned from Wonder Woman. Follow in its footsteps and yet keep it unique. The mythic sense.

Yeah you just need the heart, heroics, environmentalism and badassery and this movie will make a billion!

Yes I too hope they keep up with the mythos of Atlantis but also keeping the character true to form comics wise then I think Aquaman could be a great film well keeping somewhat of the same tone that Wonder Woman had but also having more action scenes too in Aquaman but not so much so that it becomes a cluster

Ludi Lin, Yayha Abdul Mateen II and Willem Dafoe were seen supporting the "Gold Coast Football Club" of the Australian Football League (AFL):

Aww. Ludi is a part of the clan already. :'D

But I wonder if Arthur in his solo film if he will decide to keep his long locks or if he will cut his hair similar to how Thor cut his hair for Ragnarok

Thor was forced to cut his hair. Maybe Aquaman will but I hope not.

This is hot. Shame they couldn't get momoa in

I hope not. His hair is part of his aesthetic. I like the surfer king look. It suits him
