Jason giving Wan crap for cutting his kids out of the movie (and the sympathetic face he makes) was awesome!

The only similarities that Arthur and Orm and Thor and Loki have is that they are brothers and the heirs to a kingdom. That's it.

In the MCU, Thor and Loki grew up together and have a close relationship.

Arthur is a half atlantean half human and was raised on the surface with his human father. Orm has lived in Atlantis his whole life. I don't see a Thor and Loki like relationship with these two characters at all.

Even so you can see why people including myself would make that parallel or see the similarities there

Hoping this movie takes place before JL.

It would give JL more depth fleshing out Aquaman along with the Trinity before forming the JL.

According to the spoilers leaked from the test screening.
Arthur makes a reference to defeating Steppenwolf. Aquaman does take place after Justice League.

If Aquaman takes place after JL then personally I don't have a problem with that because it makes sense

Now if only we can get this trailer up

I think a trailer for SDCC in July is absolutely perfect time! Avengers hype will die down soon and many other big releases by then like Deadpool/Solo/ Jurassic World/ etc... Than people will be thirsty for another new Superhero property that is not ant man....and then BOOM ENTERS AQUAMAN TRAILER AND HYPE!

I guess I can see your point and to be honest it makes sense for DC to go this route because if they don't Aquaman will just be overshadowed by Infinity War, Ant Man 2, etc.

Agreed!

I have to say Wan and the team are playing it smart they aren't releasing any footage or no more set photos than what we originally got because I think they want to wow us before releasing the final product and well considering all the hype Marvel has been getting for Infinity War/Ant Man 2 they want to hold off on releasing what they have for Aquaman because had they released it already it would have been pushed aside

It's weird this subforum is listed beneath The Avengers. Alphabetically, this should come after Ant-Man and before The Avengers.

I think we'll get a teaser trailer with Ocean's 8 domestically and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom OS,

Seems like a good time for it.

Attaching a trailer with Jason Momoa in it to a film directed at female audience is an excellent marketing move:sly:

I know a lot of people are waiting for SDCC for a trailer but I think that's kinda late since it'll be the end of July and DC usually puts out 3/4 trailers before their movies premiere.

I expect one at the end of May/Early June and with SDCC they'll show a clip or the same trailer with new footage. Basically how BP operated when it's trailer came out right before SDCC.

Yeah I think we could probably get a late May to early June trailer for Aquaman especially since the film comes out in December just around Christmas so it makes perfect sense for them to do it then

You guys have to remember marvel will not be at SDCC this year! WB is gonna capatilize on that opportunity and are probably gonna have a GRAND SLAM of a panel; Aquaman trailer, possible Shazam Teaser, maybe a Scene from WW2, updated DC Films Lineup slate, etc.... it will be huge opportunity

I thought Marvel was going to be there, as well as, ABC, Netflix, Fox, Lucasfilm and such. Just like last year. Did I miss something?

Regardless, SDCC is where I'm pinning Aquaman will blow people away.
