The All Encompassing AQUAMAN Movie Thread - Part 4

I’m honestly expecting the first trailer is going to break some records with alll this buildup. There’s not a day that goes by when this movie is not on my mind. So SDCC can’t come here soon enough. The secrecy and the waiting has me really excited and I think that is in the movies favor.

I'm excited about it but I would be surprised if it breaks any records.

Might be wishful thinking on my part lol but I’m hoping it does.

Just sittin’ here, transcribing Aquaman set visit interviews… ;)

Wow harlequinade, you truly are a dedicated fan. After all this time, and you're still here :)

where else would I be? :funny:

Can just imagine how excited you're getting the closer Aquaman comes to launch. The production sounds a lot smoother than JL's too, which is a good sign, and James Wan has been given liberties to install his friends in the industry in other projects, not to mention produce the Swamp Thing tv series so that's a good sign that WB has confidence in him. December will be a fine month for all of us.

I really cannot wait for this. I don't think I was ever so hyped for a movie :funny:

'Upgrade' Director Leigh Whannell

The size and scope of it was truly astounding. What James was doing was another level. I turned up on my first day and walked into a room and it was a soundstage the size of an aircraft hangar and covered with this 60-ft tall blue screen.

Wan rising to the challenge it seems.

Still.... GIMME A ****ING TEASER!!!

One more month folks.

Is there some kind of, I don't know, appropriate event or date that would coincide with the release of the trailer that's fitting for AM? World Ocean Day or some such?

I honestly have no idea but it would be cool if it did. Didn’t the first footage of Avatar come out on Earth Day?

I don't think they are doing this, the ocean day or something was actually quite recently. It's gonna be Comic Con.

Yes I too believe we will get the trailer finally at Comic Con

The wait is killing me. I'm really curious about this movie.

I think the reason why they have put it off for this long is obviously because of the director James Wan...he is a perfectionist and he obviously wants to get it right I don't blame him considering the way the DCEU has been built up thus far and of course he wants to wow all of us I can see why he would want to keep us in suspense

I think water effects are so hard too. Probably why they haven’t tried to do an aquaman movie before.

I mean even in Harry Potter and the goblet of fire the water scene was a bit dodge

The effects are what's holding it up, I would guess, yeah.

The first trailer for this movie needs to look good and make a positive impression. Get some hype started. They can't afford to release something that is derided.

Allegedly, there's another test screening (that would be 4th one) next week.

This one will most likely include the Dr. Shin scenes.

I wonder if we will see the fight scenes in the trailer? By fight scenes I mean the ones in the Aquaman First Look photos when Arthur is in what looks like a submarine

I cannot imagine releasing a trailer for epic action film without fight scenes

Perhaps we will get an Orm and Arthur fight scene or an Arthur/Manta fight scene in the trailer but we will most likely only get a snippet but that is about it

So both movies are coming out on the same weekend? I have a feeling somebody is moving.

Bumblebee is not moving, Paramount have a thing against WB and i doubt it will change now.
